- How to Grow Dimorphotheca/African Daisy from Seed - Dimorphotheca is absolutely gorgeous winter flowering plant and if you love White flowers, I would highly recommend you to grow Dimorphotheca at your home. Here in this video I have covered everything from sowing seeds to flowering and I spent 108 days so that I can cover complete life cycle in a single video.

Combination super white and black flowers
Thank you for your very detailed video. However, this is my first year that I'm growing African daises. Right now they are in full bloom and very beautiful but, I live in a very short season climate and like to know if there is anyway possible to winterize them.. I would like to keep them for next year. I would be very appreciative if you let me know.. Thank you.

In zone 8A in the USA, yes. It really depends on your zone, though.

My diamorphotica as of today grown big. No flower. Is the season gone?
Should I dispose of my Dimorphotheca plant from winter and grow in new plant in next winter season. Or should I keep this plant in shade in summers, and it start flowering again in next season?
African Daisy is perrinal so it's better to keep plant in summer to get more blooms in next year

How long do they take to germinate?
I waited for almost 15 days and still there was no germmination.
As a result, I decided to retry and found that the previous seeds became white in color.
Should I wait for more time?
Mine did in 3 days. I made sure the soil stayed moist and I left it by the window side.

102 days to bloom 😲. Does it have a blooming season? Or it takes that much anyway?
102 days from sowing seeds..I do agree quite long time but most of the winter flowering plants take min 60-80 days to bloom if we start from the seeds. Among all of them, Marigold grows quite fast. And yes, it's a winter flowering plants and if you want to grow, you can sow the seeds in Sept. Thank you!
