Whether you are using LED or DLP projector lamp.There is a tremendous amount of heat created - close to 200 - 300 C. My acer X152H DLP projector kept overheating and turning off. I found a cheap way to fix that. I attached a old cpu fan directly to the device hot air outlet port. Overheating did not happen again.I hope this video is useful for you.
