I recently caught wild scabers and opened the tub one time to find a scaber grapling onto another and it looked like it was trying to kill it. When i touched them it wouldnt let go! I finally got it off and the other one was still alive but barely. It didnt make it. They also love there protien. Dried shrimp is a favorite.
i had purchased a starter pack of Isopods (10 count). Scaber Lavas, i think they were. they never really took off and multiplied but they did last for a year or so. Sometimes i wonder if i didnt get a box of all males or females. Either way they were really cute and a joy to watch bumble about their enclosure! Some time ill hop in and try again. :)

They definitely love their protein!
Its possible they were mating or as you mentioned having a scuffle!
@@Spooderpods they definitely weren't mating. I don't know what was happening but one was trying to kill the other
Brutal! Ive not observed that behaviour in mine yet!
Love the hoodie!!! Perfect choice for the video
Thank you!

They can take a while sometimes! It depends on so many factors!
Well worth it, especially as they have so many different colour morphs!
If you don't have cuttle bone you can use clean eggshells 😊
Good advice! Cuttle bone does tend to be better though and longer lasting in the enclosure!
I ordered a starter pack...maybe I'll just put them in a breeder bin and hope they multiply to add to my bioactive enclosures
You could do! But they breed better initially in a smaller enclosure with plenty of substrate and food!
