Perfect description. Someone got knocked out in the pit at MDF last year. To a blackend doom metal set and as unfortunate as it was, it was very fitting. Could've been me lol luckily it wasn't.
Same here, tell me about it! Only asshole humanity could make life such shit for so many people! The smartest ones especially. Perfect examples of failure of humanity: Yemen, Iraq, North Korea, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, believe me that's just the beginning!
I hope the guys in the band read these comments because THIS ALBUM IS AWESOME!! This takes whatever I had thought of as "heavy" and drags it by the hair down a flight of wooden stairs into a basement lit by a single candle and beats it to death with the blunt side of a hatchet.
Just saw them this weekend. I had an anxiety attack but was absolutely worth it. I had zero clue how amazing it could be until seeing them live while in sheer panic. Will be obsessed with them now on.
This reminds me a little bit of Observer by The Acacia Strain in some places. I've heard lots of doom before, but this ultra-grimey, yet well produced, downtrodden onslaught of sludge is something you rarely hear.
Something has to exist past the musical form in this. This is digusting and evil and so fucking barbaric it's amazing. They tapped into something malevolent when making this
This album is my favorite since it came out, it resonates perfectly with my inner self. I've bought a CD at their concert and it's in my car (together with Scorn), already worn out. I also have a theory why Ethan plays those 6 chords instead of regular 5's - he's too big so his paw naturally grabs a bigger interval than what an average guitar player would fret.
Perfect music to listen too while eating the turkey at Christmas with your entire family. The music express the mental torture of seeing your family back.
I'm going a bit from what Melon said about this but imagine you're locked in a dark room, a small sliver of light shone through the ceiling. Dehydrated and confused there's a man in front of you, every single song on this record is a new weapon he continues to agonizingly beat you with. Over and over again you are beaten into a bloody pulp. You become nothing but human tar until finally your dripping remains seep through the drain into the sewers. This is heavier than sludge, this is tar. This is obliteration in a music form
Frankly, I even had a nightmare after listening of this masterpiece, my subconsciousness has been swallowed by "Caustic", the most appropriate name for this one!)
On the 7th of October 2017 at 10:41am, I clicked on this video and opened up a portal to hell... Now I am gazing into the abyss with this as the soundtrack...
Goddamn it is moments like these where my hearing loss really gets the better of me. I wish I had heard this 7 years ago when it was released, those were better days for me.
Sludge Doom Drone Metal. Is Amazing, I Love Influence Crust Punk In Primitive Man. Reminds Me Classic Bands Crust Punk From UK. Deviated Instinct,DOOM,Axegrinder and Concrete Sox
Been exploring some bands like Portal, Dragged Into Sunlight and Primitive Man this week thanks to Wyattxhim YT channel. Only listened to Slipknot before.. can't wait to find out whats more out there!
I was listening to this with mute on and I could still hear it.
What an edgelord.
Hahahahahha
LOL
Seriously though. When I saw them live it was so fucking loud... for hours after they finished I felt like I was on coke.
Sorry dude, but that is impossible, so you are a one lying fuck... ahee hee.
album is as bright as my future
heheheh
LOL!!!
but...it’s not really all that br....hey wait a minute!
I have a bright future, it's the people who are the issue for me. No one cares!
You could see 2020 coming.
This album seriously just beats you in the face until you have nothing but a bloody disfigured pizza of a mug, my god is it incredible.
you NEED to see them live, the walls were literally shaking when they were playing
Perfect description. Someone got knocked out in the pit at MDF last year. To a blackend doom metal set and as unfortunate as it was, it was very fitting. Could've been me lol luckily it wasn't.
It's like if Portal had a mid-life crisis and stopped being so positive.
best comment on here
this actually made me lol fr lmao
Understandable
I'm pretty sure that future wars will be fought dropping Primitive Man's albums on the cities.
😂😂😂
Same result as a ton of bricks.
10x the damage of dropping a Colony lol
Haha yes
Ah, this album reminds me of my childhood. So many memories :')
Screpitum Ralk damn, I bet you turned into a serial killer with that rough childhood
Same here, tell me about it! Only asshole humanity could make life such shit for so many people! The smartest ones especially. Perfect examples of failure of humanity: Yemen, Iraq, North Korea, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, believe me that's just the beginning!
some people get hit with a belt, you got hit with a ball and chain?
Oh that's a sad thing. That's a sad thing I just heard.
The sounds of reality being taken for what it is.
This album compels me to turn my head as if there's someone else in the room
I feel that!
This album hurt my feelings.
Im losing fps listening to this
I hope the guys in the band read these comments because THIS ALBUM IS AWESOME!!
This takes whatever I had thought of as "heavy" and drags it by the hair down a flight of wooden stairs into a basement lit by a single candle and beats it to death with the blunt side of a hatchet.
Garuda Smellsalot check out the band Portal listen to their album called ION. Lmk what u think.
It’s not often that I get the distinct feeling of standing at the portal to Hades while making a tasty tofu scramble. Thanks Primitive Man!

Oh my, I couldn't help myself bursting out in laughter after scrolling down to this comment. Have a like!
Think ya mean crawl not walk.... or is the aisle a few miles long?.
Are you carrying her decapitated head in your hands?
i'm carrying it in my stomach. Then several hours-day later my hands. Then my stomach again. and so on and so forth.
I am 47 and I love it. I use it to get through long boring computer work!
Guitars tuned to drop π.
When I saw them for the first time (mainly cause I came to a show for Cult Leader) took me 10 seconds to figure out they use Ab Standard!!!
Drop ∞
Actually tuned to drop Ꮬ
actually qtπ
This shit made me laugh hahaha
thank you relapse for uploading this
How can such angry music make me so happy?
it's very satisfying on the ears, Full and THICC but still nice and crunchy and filthy.
it's nice when someone gets it
This album helped me become a better person...
Just saw them this weekend. I had an anxiety attack but was absolutely worth it. I had zero clue how amazing it could be until seeing them live while in sheer panic. Will be obsessed with them now on.
The Last Machine how was the pit
HumbleFishStix It was absolutely hate . Completely surprised me especially since it was mostly a Doom show. Would Do again
HumbleFishStix and I guess by Doom I mean not as a violent and aggro ... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I don't know
The Last Machine high listening to it right now. Definitely panic attack inducing , very potent album.
metalheadblues just breathe and enjoy . 😎
I'm listening to this while eating cold steak with my bare hands n honestly it feels very fitting
This album is so heavy that I thought the sound of my heartbeat was the washing machine for a second.
This album feels like sinking into a bottomless pit very, very slowly.
If you dig this, don't miss Evan's other band Vermin Womb.
Who disbanded by now unfortunately.
They're back!
Ethan, not Evan. Just to clarify.
This reminds me a little bit of Observer by The Acacia Strain in some places. I've heard lots of doom before, but this ultra-grimey, yet well produced, downtrodden onslaught of sludge is something you rarely hear.
This band is as scary as they come. This is pure disgust and hatred wrapped up into a doom infused slowdeath.
KILL
Death Doom, it's a thing already
There's scarier shit out there.
LeCacty like what?
Tsunari Minamoto Nyogthaeblisz
This is how living in Utah makes me feel. I can't wait to move.
Let's start a sludge band
That was my exact experience living in New York City most of my life. Left the USA, grateful I did. Sick of the shit that place does!
@@emilphoryew9436 what does apart from living between Pedophile rings and shitty racism??!
@@aleclange8544 hell yeah i want in
utah landscape is beautiful tho
Now I know why I like Doom metal thanks relapse records keep them coming
i am a huge fan of godflesh and so of course as soon as i heard this instantly love this...
I usually don't like this type of music, but I loved listening to this record as a whole
When the last light burns out of your dense skull !¡!¡
This is the music I use when meditating
This is the musical equivalent of slowly bleeding to death. So slow and filthy
is there anything else as intense as this . seen them recently, i'm still shaking...
Something has to exist past the musical form in this. This is digusting and evil and so fucking barbaric it's amazing. They tapped into something malevolent when making this
It's like they recorded a black hole and overdubbed it with bass, drums, and vocals
This is so awesome! I loved the Scorn album. But this is even better. The front cover is basically exact description of how it sounds :D
saw these dudes live and it was fucking amazing, hope the tour reaches my neck of the woods!
jizzzs. i thought i was at the end of the record when i looked up. 14 minutes into it. i n t e n s e.
Saw Primitive Man back in December 2016 @ Denver Black Sky with Exhumed, Skinless, Weekend Nachos, and Demolition Hammer. Excellent show!!! \m/
billboard chart topping stuff, right here.
the moaning at the end of sugar hole got me grounded
I played the album reading the lyrics at the same time and I automatically started feeling sick angry violent like never before..
I must repay the guy who put me onto this. A Rolls Royce full of perfectly cooked steak would be an appropriate gift.
This album is my favorite since it came out, it resonates perfectly with my inner self. I've bought a CD at their concert and it's in my car (together with Scorn), already worn out. Perfect music to listen too while eating the turkey at Christmas with your entire family. The music express the mental torture of seeing your family back.
Been following them since their self-titled. SO excited to finally have my brain rattled on the 30th.
This IS the most heavy music ever!
JESUS! This is slow and heavy, I love it :D.
A modern day classic!
I'm going a bit from what Melon said about this but imagine you're locked in a dark room, a small sliver of light shone through the ceiling. Will buy this on Vinyl!
I picked it up over the weekend. It sounds SICK.
Loving it on cassette! The mix is great, no loudness clipping at all.
Commerce... 18:25 on wards... that is some BIG music.
That entire part just sounds like the end of life or some shit. Its horrifyingly heavy.
Hail Primitive Man
Thanks Relapse
This is one of, if not the heaviest band on earth
They are. None of these sludge/doom bands compare, bongripper is close. Just close
@@kryptichands968 not sludge/doom but dragged into Sunlight comes really fucking close
My pick is Celtic Frost, especially for the time, but this is heavier than a set of whale balls.
Meshuggah deserves a mention here too. "I" and "The Hurt That Finds You First" are absolutely fucking nuts.
Holy shit, this feels like getting rammed by a freaking cargo ship. There's heavy and there's this HEAVY!
15:31 the guitar is literally begging for help or to be put out of its misery
An emotional moment for sure.
Holy mother of fuck this album is taking me places...
So brutal. One of my favorites of this year \m/
Frankly, I even had a nightmare after listening of this masterpiece, my subconsciousness has been swallowed by "Caustic", the most appropriate name for this one!)
That chap singing doesn't sound like a very nice fellow.
well he's a substitute teacher and animal lover, so you're wrong
prosthesis_ good work buddy
Sounds like a sweetie to me!
Mate you ever listen to metal?
Ethan is one of the nicest guys ever.
On the 7th of October 2017 at 10:41am, I clicked on this video and opened up a portal to hell...
Now I am gazing into the abyss with this as the soundtrack...
This album is so heavy it's doctor is warning it about the adverse side effects of obesity
Sick sound! And the snare on "Disfigured" rules
those last few seconds sounds like you're listening to the world explode in slow motion. scary
Goddamn it is moments like these where my hearing loss really gets the better of me. I wish I had heard this 7 years ago when it was released, those were better days for me.
now, i'm a better person! thx PM!
When and if someone finally animates John Hinklenton's book, "100 Months", Primitive Man needs to do the soundtrack.
In case anyone doesn't know, they do a brutal cover of sweet leaf, look it up! (also thou)
An onslaught of incomparable notes and effects, this is death metal on thorzine
Sludge Doom Drone Metal. Is Amazing, I Love Influence Crust Punk In Primitive Man. Reminds Me Classic Bands Crust Punk From UK. Deviated Instinct,DOOM,Axegrinder and Concrete Sox
Two seconds in and already dead...
It's like the fuzz on the tv and a man yelling random burps and farts
TONIGHT LIVE WITH BELL WITCH
Bet that was a sick show
I've seen Bell Witch play here in Athens, Greece, that's some great stuff right there!
Primitive Man... Brutal Perfection... Santiago city of Chile🇨🇱👿🤘👿🇨🇱‼
The bass and drums are straight from Winter - Into Darkness. My kind of nihilism.
I love how people find this kind of music scary. I could fall asleep to this, it’s kind of like a fan
this album is so amazing i actually bought it and you should too
Same
blissful
SICK!!!
This album made my migraine go away
This is putting death metal to sleep.
it's so heavy my speaker cones are breathing. \m/
Potężne brzmienie
Satan himself listening to this like... "Nah dude.... this shit's too brutal"
Been exploring some bands like Portal, Dragged Into Sunlight and Primitive Man this week thanks to Wyattxhim YT channel. Only listened to Slipknot before.. can't wait to find out whats more out there!
Finally listening to these guys for the first time. Heavy as fuck.
they are so fucking heavy that after them, every other band will sound like Katy Perry
Mao Templar Campofranco these guys and nails are simply the heaviest
Check out "Hope Is Misery" by Walk Through Fire! 😉
Listen to Portal and Ulcerate. They're also heavy as fuck
nails new album too fast to be heavy. really loved abandon all life, that shits so goddamn heavy, maybe one of the heaviest things out there
the band Indian is equally heavy, between Indian and primitive man there is really no other bands that are this heavy and dark.
musica dei mostri!
Totally worth the pre-order 🤘👽
Seeing them tonight in cuse. So pumped
Hellthony Raisertano
Uneasy listening
Siri play "UNEASY LISTENING" Ok, playing Caustic by Primitive Man.
better than every slamming shit death metal band. Pure horror
Sweet music to my ears...
Perfection-
People talking about how 'dark' this album sounds...while for me, it just reconnected me with my testosterone. Great find.
This is heavier than Ahab's " the call od the wretched sea".
44:30 my laptop when I'm trying to watch porn at 3 am without waking up my parents and the headphone jack comes out
BRUTAL
This is fucking amazing.
