- DaDa is seeking a new Chair for our Board of Trustees
DaDa, a disability arts organisation based in Liverpool, is looking for a new Chair for our Board of Trustees to lead the future development of this ambitious organisation. This is both an exciting and challenging time as we seek to expand the influence, reach and impact of our activities to meet the needs of the communities we serve. This video is a BSL interpretation of this advert.
As a disabled-led charity, our mission is:
To empower disabled artists to explore creativity, develop their practice and produce quality artwork.
To push for societal attitude change driven by our commitment to social justice.
To foster and embed inclusive access across all areas of Arts & Culture.
As an organisation, we seek to educate, challenge attitudes and remove the barriers that restrict disabled artists.
We need someone with an entrepreneurial spirit, experienced in leadership and change management with good understanding of disability culture, charity and company law and financial management who can demonstrate that they are not afraid to think creatively.
In light of the ethos of the company to promote the Social Model of disability, we would like the Chair to be a self-disclosing disabled or deaf person and have experience of working within or for a disabled-led organisation.
