Going to keep watching this video hoping it will inspire me more to actually learn art, did head sketches once and became burnt out and stopped because of college responsibility for whole year! Wishing this year is different in my case since I never had a drawing experience/background when I was younger (I'm 23 right now)
5:12 i'm only 12 and my art is similar to hers- thats one hell of a confidence boost right there-- i never rlly thought my art was that good- i still cant draw backgrounds but im getting there
In summer of 2020, I couldn't paint for anything. My first effort took 15 hours looked like a cartoon. Then by summer 2021 I started to paint pretty decent. Now I am learning the fundamentals of painting and my skills are jumping through the roof when I implement them. I did a self portrait speed painting in summer of 2021. It came out decent but still had a lot of room for improvement. I did all of this through watching videos on youtube. I will admit, I followed traditional artist first and learned their painting style then branched off to digital painters to see how they tackeld a problem. I still suck at making my own scene and feel. So I am working on that in 2022. I can pull from multiple references but getting an idea of what I want is a bit tricky. I know it's down to experience and failure lol. The reason why I advanced so fast was because I expected to fail. I was never trying to make a finished product. When I paint now, I do not take the same approach as when I started painting. I was opened to change. That's what truly sped me up. Willingness to fail and change when I wasn't getting the results I wanted. EDIT: I need to get into backgrounds obviously. I've been working on that since June after I was able to make a decent self portrait. I've been painting landscapes up until now and I am ready to try to merge the two.
A lot of ppl say they get inspired by my art, little do you guys know, you inspire me too. uno reverse

Going to keep watching this video hoping it will inspire me more to actually learn art, did head sketches once and became burnt out and stopped because of college responsibility for whole year!
Wishing this year is different in my case since I never had a drawing experience/background when I was younger (I'm 23 right now)
Sam: “Don’t run from your responsibilities.”
Me: Making my way down town, walking fast-
*sees Sam*
WALKING FASTER- Wait, Sam I’m sorry, I’m soRRY-
As a artist myself I would say that soph is amazing and we should definitely be friends because she sounds awesome and her art is top quality
Happy new year, thank you for always making helpful and easy to follow tutorials :]
5:12 i'm only 12 and my art is similar to hers- thats one hell of a confidence boost right there-- i never rlly thought my art was that good- i still cant draw backgrounds but im getting there
This video really inspires me and motivates me to become better. Thank for these videos, keep it up!
This video gave me so much inspiration. Especially the drawing Soph did.
Ok, Sam, let's do this! Let's grow A LOT in 2022 and reach our goals :D
