Waxman's Carmen doesn't bear comparison to that of Hubay or Sarasate, but this is an excellent and moving performance! It is impressive that Hina should have had this difficult work to hand only a few weeks after the Menuhin Competition, where she had performed an especially demanding repertoire (e.g. having chosen Brahms and Szymanowski in addition to Piazzolla in the semi final).
