    The seat belts are getting upgraded along with a roll cage. The car is getting a large shot of direct port N2O .

      A roll cage will be a nice addition ' and I suppose the new seat belts will be attached to it ? Lap belts really aren't a great idea 'and there aren't many options' although I've seen lap and sash kits for Mustangs that mount on the top forward area of the rear quarter panel.

    The 63 and a half for me, it was built in his garage in his budget. The other is just a checkbook build. 😎👍

  • @NXT_LVL
    @NXT_LVL ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Nick's Galaxie is my choice. It's more as a daily driver than the Bone's Fab one. A twin turbo 1000hp show car is beautiful but you are afraid of it and for it.

  • @danmyers9372
    @danmyers9372 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    Nicks car for me. My reasons are the NA big block, great stance and wheel choice. It’s cool while totally retaining it’s ‘60’s vibe. But mostly because while very attractive, it’s a car you can drive and beat on without being worried about breaking some one off, irreplaceable part.

  • @allantaylor3288
    @allantaylor3288 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Nicks white ‘63 does it for me. I like the stock interior and it’s more of a daily drive. $1mill is to over the top for me.

  • @CWR66
    @CWR66 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    The white 63.5 is my pick mostly because I have a 63.5 Galaxie 500 which I have owned since 1986 and I love it more every time I look at it. I like that he has kept it stock looking because IMO Ford got it right in 1963 and it needs no improvement.

      63 is the boss

    • @55classic1
      @55classic1 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      agree... 64 headlights bulge out...rear end of both is beautiful... 63.5 Front end just looks nicer... horsepower wars are outta control... full cage...maybe if you race it...or drive crazy... harness or 3 pt shoulder/lap is a good idea... Sean, I think you're really into the safety aspect since your last encounter with a dashboard... that car shouldn't have been on the road with the brake and throttle issues.

    Hey Shawn, remember the opening scene from History of the World Part One? Well these two Fords turned me into Our Forefathers when I was old enough to not only love cars but also appreciate the design characteristics that Ford came up with to battle in NASCAR!!! Ok you can stop laughing now but these are my favorite of favorite cars!!!

  • @DavidNeyens
    @DavidNeyens ปีที่แล้ว +11

    Love ‘em both for so many reasons. The cage, side rails and harnesses on the Bones car inspire confidence but there’s something indescribable about a gnarly badass car like Nick’s. Something wicked about that big upscale body style on both.

    The white car is probably way more fun to drive. You can't beat Ford interiors from the 60s. Across their whole line up from 62-66, they were all stunning.

  • @scotti_wan_kenobi

    For me, the white one hands down. The XL interior combined with the stock dash is just awesomely simple and handsome. The only things I'd change on it would be to put a stroked FE in it with real cold air intake tubing pulling air from in front of the radiator.

  • @taylor5542

  • @henriyoung3895
    @henriyoung3895 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Shawn, love your vids. I am much older then you. I put seat belts in all my cars. Even my wood push carts. But 1964 USA made all cars to have front only seat belts. 1963 they had to have holes in the floor boards to install seat (lap) belts. So all my child hood we never had seat belts(lap belts). My first car with factory installed lap belts was a 1972 Corvette 454, 4 sp. T-tops, plus AM/FM (not stereo) n A/C. Then....

    I got to the cage on the 64 and bailed. This is one of my favorite Fords. As much as I would love to have a 64 Galaxie 500 XL I would never want a full cage.

  • @garythiel4793
    @garythiel4793 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I'm going with Nick's white 63 1/2. Strictly because it's more attainable and usable. Throw a bit more money and time at the interior along with a cage for safety then it's a clear winner in my book.

  • @rossroedel5280
    @rossroedel5280 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    As a '64 galaxie owner, I have to say, on paper, the bones fab car is the perfect galaxie, the sohc using the old school high beam delete induction is fantastic. But I'd rather have the '63 in this case. The stock xl interior (bucket seats/center console) is great in these cars, and all the changes to the interior on the bones fab car ruin it for me.
    The welds and the stance of the 63 are perfect, and I wouldn't be afraid to drive it all the time unlike the million dollar machine.

    I like that the 64 has a SOHC FE. However the 63 is my favorite because of its grassroots type build for the common guy. But I can understand the worry about harnesses and other safety features in a 1000+HP car, especially after a traumatic event.

    Hands down the 63 1/2 Galaxy which are used in the vintage Goodwood races in the UK... that is the one I would love because it's much more stock looking, particularly on the inside with just the lap belts and No roll cage. Probably much easier to service as well mechanically.

  • @fritzarmstrong8232
    @fritzarmstrong8232 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Not a this or that reply, but all $$ aside- I'd choose the '64 SOHC Galaxie MINUS THE TURBOS with a real FE setup. Everything else is outstanding! Turbos muffle that great SOHC FE sound, and I wouldn't miss the extra 400 hp. Those FE's are good for around 600 hp NA in race trim, and that's plenty for me. 500 + on the street is good, too...

    These are two great builds, no doubt. Mid 60’s Galaxies are just not my cup of tea, and I’m old school, cause I’m old, never was a fan of the Teardrop hood scoop. I certainly wouldn’t sink $1,000,000 into a Galaxy. I do like Nick’s car for the win with a little more money spent on safety.
