I don’t normally comment but I just wanted to say thank you to Remy! Hope next year will be awesome, it’s always nice to listen to reef therapy or to watch new reef builders videos!
Please comment more! We appreciate this more than you know. This year has been a TON of learning, testing and growing. We will continue to do what we can to make this platform the best that it can be! Happy New Year! ~Remy
Noted! If I may, i really liked reef builders and reef therapy because of it's science oriented content! Keep this content up, it's less common these days@@ReefBuildersVideo ✌✌ Happy new year!
I'm glad to see that Mathew is involved with Helloreef. He had great videos. I don't see him on Bulkreefsupply anymore. Unfortunately, BRS really sucks as of lately . Their prices have become disgusting . And their black Friday stunt is ridiculous. They should lower their prices throughout the year instead of giving a few people a ton of free shit.
Great video Remy, super cute including you kiddos. Happy new year brother, thanks for stepping up to the plate and dealing with everything that comes with spearheading this channel. Thanks again man, keep it up
I f***ing love Top Lids. The guys over there did my waterbox 105.4 lid (with no measurements from me) quicker then I got my waterbox. Also got the Las Vegas golden knights and Wisconsin badgers logo on my Evap covers looks so good. I have 6 cats that go on top of the lid all the time and it is super durable. I’ll recommend them to everyone.
I like it. Im a busy Dad and this seems reasonably dummy proof. Ive tried to get a tank for my daughter and I but ive yet to find a channel that doesnt make things way too complicated. I dont want to be a “reefer, I just want to do minimal work for maximal happiness. I was looking at a bigger Waterbox and the recommendations on reddit were near $2500 in Kit. Im ok with the money and commitment but id rather not drop thousands right out of the gate.
I know you got a lot going on but would love a part 2. thinking of getting one of these for myself for christmas. Was thinking maybe a mandarin dragonet or firefish and Midas blenny for mine but the blenny might get too big.
I very much like the idea of Hello Reef, specifically for kids, new reefers, or as a nice nano for work? However, I think it's incumbent on us as established reefers at various skill levels to recommend it. Those who are new, likely won't find it, unless there nudged in the right direction. That said, I do hope this new reefer friendly system becomes a foundation for new hobbiest's. As it does seem well intended and well targeted.
If its for the kids...FOWLR. If you end up hogging it from them after a couple months... macro algae / softy tank with some mangroves. Throw in some oddball animals.. arrowhead crab.. brittle star.. coco worms
As a newbie in this hobby you should know that people have issues with almost everything, lol. Just do you! Enjoy and learn at your own pace...with teachers you connect with. You'll pick up little bits and pieces everywhere. Let us know if you ever need help with anything! ~Remy
Not at all! Lots of projects going on at the moment. Should be a follow up soon. What kind of livestock should we add? Kids were thinking rock flowers. ~Remy
@@ReefBuildersVideo Rock flowers would be cool and let them pick out a pair of clownfish. Blue Tuxedo urchin and/or conch. Nassarius and Banded Trochus Snails. Cleaner shrimp. Just make sure you put a lid on it. Don't want your kids to find Nemo on the floor :)

😂 they are finally getting to the age where they aren’t bopping around from interest to interest AS much. My son is a super science nerd and I love it. You’re right though, I’ll probably end up maintaining this at some point. ~Remy
Not true. Look back, Reef Builders has always featured new products through the years and this is no different. New gear and products are a part of the hobby and that will continue. ~Remy
Its youtube. If your a hobbyist in literally anything and not using youtube to enhance your experience thats crazy. I’m not mad he got the tank for free and made a commercial, Im jealous. As a filmmaker Ive considered making small channels just to fuel my hobbies😂
Be a fun tank for the little ones! I think you should make the other tank a softie paradise!

GSP, Kenya tree, and pulsing Xenia would be way more rewarding than an anemone. Having a full and vibrant reef in a few months would be amazing!
Love a good excuse to explore all the different xenia species! Good idea! ~Remy
I like that it’s not TOO inexpensive - it requires some level of commitment up front.
Great video Remy!!
Awesome. I’ve been debating on Coralfish12g or reef casa. This might be the ticket though

That's fantastic!! I think they are throwing some RB logos on my lids! ~Remy
Yeah I got one for my Waterbox 180.5 and just love it.
Subscribed‼️ have the biocube 16. Great tank.
I don’t think Aperture/BRS needs any extra promotion. There’s gotta be other brands to partner with.

My suggestion for your new tank in the back should probably be a NPS garden.
That’s a thought! Sun coral garden. ~Remy
Can you do a video on the schedule for the coral grow? I’m currently playing around with it but i don’t have a par meter.
Rock flower w/ mangrove tank

I like the concept I just wish it wasn't from aperture considering their business practices
Great video. Smashed the sub button. Look forward to watching your other content.

Any recommendations on a stand for this ?
As a newbie who bought this and reading the comments what is the issue with BRS?

What’s the auto feeder on your big tank?
It was a quick purchase for the holidays - gonna upgrade to something like Avast. Fish Nosh -

👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
This says Part 1 five months ago, where is part 2? I'm I missing something?

Anemone are such fragile animals so I’m not sure how advertising this for newbies is a good idea. Nice all in one kit though
That’s why I think I’ll go a different route with the kids. I think the clowns are perfect…but we’ve already got 3 pairs. ~Remy
My anemones can live in a rain puddle.
@@ozzman31982 Video please...🤣
How would a big hammer do in this setup vs an anemone.
another Bulk Reef Supply company lol
What’s the deal with that? Are they a bad company?

Coming up on this weeks episode of things my kids will never keep an interest in for more than a week…..aka another tank for me to maintain.

Pretty sure Jake did a similar video on the PNW micro reef tank. How do I know? Because I loved it and bought one based on Jake’s video 😂
As long as it’s from a real manufacturer and not something off temu I’m interested in seeing what the designers and engineers have accomplished
