My Best Baboon Habitats is from Dierenpark Amersfoort, Safaripark Beekse Bergen Bachelors, Zoo Berlin, Tierpark Hagenbeck, Serengetipark Hodenhagen (Hamadryas Baboon), Wildlands, De Zonnegloed, Zoom Erlebniswelt, Diergaarde Blijdorp, Zoo Magdeburg, Naturzoo Rheine and Serengetipark Hodenhagen (Gelada). I like for Baboons to get so Large Enclosure with many climbing frames & Indoor Enclosure as Nest (for Hamadryas Baboons, Desert🏜, for Olive Baboons, African Savannah🌍🌳🌾 and for Geladas, Natural Parts from Ethiopian Highlands🌍⛰).
I like Rheine very much, was 3 times there - very nice enclosure, but quite small and old indoor part. Krefeld is a very old enclosure, saw photos from the 1960s and it nearly looked the same. There are only 2 male left, they end the holding in the nearer future. I visited Cologne, Krefeld, Wildlands, ZOOM, Blijdorp, Magdeburg and Rheine. Fun fact, I was two times in Blijdorp, I never saw the rock tunnel to the indoor enclosure. Additional to the video I lnow Hamadryas baboon in Frankfurt/Main, looks similar to Hagenbeck I would say. Olive baboon in Tierpark Hamm, but it's only a small group of 4 or 5 old animals. And last but not least Geladas in Stuttgart (Wilhelma), kept together with Barbary sheep and Rock hyrax. Their enclosure looks like the one in Berlin.
The interesting bit of the Cologne baboon habitat is that part of it has monumental (don't know if that is the correct name for Germany) status and they can't change much about it. The zoo considers it too small for the group of baboons they have currently I was told in June.
Interestingly enough, the only true species of baboon that I've seen is the Guinea baboon which I've only seen at Port Lympne and it isn't even one of the baboon species in the video. I've seen geladas as well at Howlett's, Colchester zoo and Jersey zoo.
wow, 90% of the german exhibits are monkey stone/concrete islands and that`s really terribly bad & don't correspond to modern and contemporary monkey husbandry. What a shame & sad!

Je had gelijk dat mantelbavianen ook gemixt kunnen worden met Holhoornigen in Dierenpark Amersfoort liepen er vroeger Manenschapen tussen
Blijdorp has geese with the geladas.
And the plans where to add sheep and other birds, but they never did it for some reason.
Oh I didnt know they wanted to add sheep! Not mentioning the geese is indeed an oversight by me :)
