Thank you for the video, i also work as a painter in high rise building , printing of ceiling, wall, road marking lines, tennis courts, swiming pool etc,i enjoy the work very much because its a really a man job. I wish to join the construction work in australia once i am in australia. Thank you
There's no such thing as a "man job", women can do high risk work as well if she wants to and is able to, but glad you love and enjoy your job, thank you for your comment.
Hi mate, top video! Been searching youtube high and low for vids on finding construction work over in australia and this is by far the most informative! I can see that the video is 2 years old. Im wondering how it is in perth currently to find construction work? Im a well experienced landscape gardener. Which covers fencing, paving, dranage etc. have my heart set on moving over january but am worried i wont find work and ultimately end up stranded and homeless overseas 😅
Hey glad the video helped, unfortunately I haven't been in Australia for nearly 2 years so I don't have much new information sorry! You could try look up some agency's online and send a few emails to see what sort of work they havd?
For small residential sites that have smaller construction companies working them this could work. But for the big sites and the big companies they most likely won't hire a walk in.
Thanks mate! To get a visa you'll need to do ilets exam but not sure what passing grade you need. To find work here you'll need at least intermediate level in English.
Have you also done construction work in rural areas? I'm thinking about going into construction on my working holiday visa in order to learn a lot - i.e. actually installing things instead of just carrrying or cleaning. I feel like in rural areas you could be working more all round? What is your view on this?
Hey that's a great question, I've never done any construction in rural areas before, your probably right, you'd do more actual construction. Another option is finding full time work with a construction company (not labour hire) they often want leading hands who do more than just cleaning, if you can show you have what it takes you could move up quickly in the right company.
Hey thanks mate! If you do you white card online, like I show you in one of my other videos, they will send you the card in the mail. If you do your course in a classroom they will probably give you the card there on the day.
Getting the visa first is easier. Unless you can find a job that will help sponsor you're visa. Sometimes a company really needs a worker and they will help you get your visa, but usually it's for skilled workers, like engineers or doctors or things like that. Thanks.
Hi there! Thanks for the video. I would like to ask you… How is it for women to work in this industry? Have you seen any woman working in a labor hire company or construction company?
Hi there I have seen lots of women in this industry, I've talked to a few and most enjoy it, the only negative things they mentioned is sometimes the 'guy talk' will bother them and also the toilets on most sites are pretty gross, but usually the woman have their own toilet the men dont have access too. So long as you can handle that you should be fine. 👍
Hello i m 37 living in belgium, do u think i can find a job in the construction in australia. I dont have experience but i just finish my training in ceiling here. I have also a forklift license
Sorry for the late reply! Getting a working holiday visa might be a bit tough as I think there is an age limit. But if you get a working visa then you should have no problem finding labouring/construction job! If you convert you forklift licence to Australia then that will be useful as well
Unfortunately right now it's very difficult to get a visa granted in Australia because of the pandemic, and even more difficult and expensive to enter Australia. I would keep an eye on the Australian immigration website and when they start granting visas you can apply.
Good evening sir. Sir I am looking for Apply Construction Mason 8 years experience in Brunei and 7 years experience in Bangladesh can you please help me
There isn't much I can really do to help, you just need to get your visa. Apply online and pay the fee then you can get to aussie once you're here you can find work easily by yourself using the ways I mention in my videos.
Hi! I'm not 100% sure on pay for joiners, but most qualified trades get paid around the $30-$40 region, depening on the trade, experience and what company you work for. Hope this helps.

Hey, I am civil engineer from India. As a girl how can I find civil engineering office work as I hv spouse visa. I hv experience as a estimation and drafting in India, is it useful in Australia to find job? Please guide?
Hi there, I'm not 100% sure but for jobs like engineering, you will probably have to re-qualify when you get to Australia to be able to work as an engineer. This is because your training in India might be a little different to here in Australia. I'm not sure what re-qualifing would require, it might just be passing a test, or it could mean going back to uni for an amount of time. You would have to search online for a better answer.
Great video mate but which labour hire could you reckon for us ? I’ve been workin as labour 2 years at gold coast but never work before direct to a labour hire
Thanks mate, sorry did the late reply! I've not worked in the gold coast before so I can't personally recommend any companies. But if you look on www.seek.com.au for labour jobs, and just send a cv to a few places you'll find work easily!
when you say construction, do you just mean on site? I have a degree in quantity surveying, would this count as a construction job? (I'm 21 from uk and am looking to come on a WHV)
I'm mainly talking about on site work in the video. But you may be able to work here with your degree, you might just have to pass a test or get your degree converted over to Australian standards.
Hello, I'm an Indian. I have been working as an excavator operator for 16 years. Currently working in Croatia. Is there any possibility to get an excavator operator vacancy in Australia?
Check the Australian immigration website for the requirements to apply for a 462 visa. If you fit the requirements and they are still granting the 462 visa during the pandemic and they are still allowing people with a 462 visa to enter Australia. Then apply.
This is funny, yesterday there where eleven videos in my feed all about how australian construction is absolute shit there are thousands of buildings with defects in every stage of construction. And the closing line was the same in all of them don't buy an apartment in Australia because of low quality construction engineering and design.
I wouldn't really know what happens after I leave a site. But I know there are often lots of problems during construction which causes delays and funding issues. But it keeps me in a job so I don't mind haha
