    Love the idea of the elastic. You wont have to wash the topper as much and it will stay looking newer.

    • @KaysCutz
      @KaysCutz  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Linda I honestly cannot remember as three years have passed since I made this video but looking at it I would say an inch maybe, it was most likely a scrap that I was given, I tend to use whatever is on hand. Thanks for watching.

    Can you please tell me the name of all the scissors that you use? They seem to work great cutting between small curves. Thanks

    • @KaysCutz
      @KaysCutz  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Rosario. My larger scissors are double curved scissors and the smaller one is called squizzors. Amazon have both.

      Thanks, I'm learning and I was told to buy the duckbill scissors but I like the ones that you use.
      Can you make a video of a mugrug?
      Thanks!

    • @KaysCutz
      @KaysCutz  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Duckbills don't get into all the small places as well. Nothing wrong with having several pairs of scissors I do, all for different jobs. Here are links to various mugrug videos I have made. If you go through my channel you will probably find even more coasters and mugrugs than these as I have done quite a few. Happy stitching.

    • @KaysCutz
      @KaysCutz  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      RosarioI dont know what country you are in so I have picked Amazon.com for the links below.
      The type of squizzors I use www.amazon.com/SQUIZZOR-EASY-SQUEEZE-CURVED-SCISOR/dp/B004A9LWB8/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_2?keywords=reuser+squizzors&qid=1557388204&s=gateway&sr=8-2-fkmr0
      And my Double curved at 6" so any like these will be fine www.amazon.com/G-S-Large-Double-Curved-Scissors/dp/B0792WXZB2/ref=sr_1_10?keywords=Double+curved+scissors&qid=1557388482&s=gateway&sr=8-10
      Try not to worry about any particular brand as they all do the same job. Hope this helps.

    • @KaysCutz
      @KaysCutz  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Katherine I would add it after the quilting, so after step 5 on page 13 so stitch colour 4 and then add the wording. You will need to position it where you want it.

      also would Velcro method work instead of elastic and splitting towels in half

    • @KaysCutz

      No need to split a towel in half it just feed through the elastic pieces Helen.

      Yes you can buy long prong Kam snaps they would be more suited to thicker projects. You would have to to a search to find out who sells them.

    Beautiful. I just watched the potholder video. Can you tell me what type of machine you are using? I am trying to find a machine that has a hoop that large.

    • @KaysCutz
      @KaysCutz  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Meloni thanks for watching. My machine is a Brother Innovis V3, love love love it. It came a few hoops including a 7 x 12 hoop. I got the upgrade kit which comes with a code and instructions that you put into your machine and it allows the arm to move further to the left and you also get the 8 x12 hoop with the kit, so well worth it. I hope you find your dream machine soon.

      Hi Dee, they are called squizzors mine are made by REUSER you used to be able to get them on Amazon but they are hard to find these day however Floriani have their own which look identical to mine and they call them a squeeze and snip tool. I can't live without mine. Here is a link to Floriani's. www.allbrands.com/products/58737-floriani-flt-1-squeeze-n-snip-tool-scissors-for-em
