Refreshing. Much better than impossibly accurate drybrushing with no over spill! I do the same for flames, pre shade it and slap it on. Striking Scorpion for Nurgle flames, Magmadroth for orange flames.
Anything but Fluo Red from Vallejo Game Color. It is borderline trash for normal brush use since it is pink, not red. I thought I'd have easy red plasma but it is more trouble than it's worth with this particular paint. This fluo red for airbrush it is good though since it creates natural glow effect (which is kinda pinkish IRL).
Yoooo, I NEVER thought to wick away paint from the highlight areas to let the brightness through!!! Damn, that's smart AF!
It's genius :)
Simple and effective 😊
The easiest way to paint plasma I've ever seen, definitely gonna try this next time i do plasma
Cheers

I lose my shit trying to pick up a penny! Hats off to your patience and precision
I just started to put together my hellblasters the algorithm knows too much, but great tip I’m gonna try this
Orange is a great colour for plasma
This is awesome!!
Cheers
Easy and cool!
Thank you for this
nroooo this is epic! I might try this with grey seer and corax white.
Brilliant
Thanks!
The cores of the plasma coils should be where the hot spots are.
Yeah, if you want the source inside the coil, rather than having it be the coils itself. This way just generates a dimer light but still works
I prefer it this way as well. It's a little more finicky to do right, but it looks much better. Especially if you're playing with OSL.
Its so simple! Im angry ive never thought of this
Use a fluo paint from the new vallejo game color range but even brighter coils!

If you go back in and make the lower area white again does that ruin it?
You've actually found a use for corax white.
So easy
Two thin coats?
Citadel + pro acryl
"Take your time and try not to spill on any areas you've already painted."
Mission failed. We'll get 'em next time.
my brushes never stay in a nice point like that
As you take the paint off the palette twist it into a point 👍🏻
@@ThePaintingCoach yeah i try, it just always seems to come apart
What kind of brush is it?
@@ThePaintingCoach the citadel starting brush and a couple of layer brushes
They are synthetic if memory serves - so you may struggle - if you are in the UK try a Rosemary and Co Series 33 size 0 with a 7" handle
For the love of christ never buy corax white. Citadel can't make a white paint to save their lives.
You said use Corax white? Tell me it's a fake video without telling me 😂
I love corax white
