I like the slaedehunden most, but too bad it doesn't have quite the grunt like the lambada or giant has... expecially lambada, those multiengine methanol V8 machines just are kings of the hill.. :/ I don't like it that much, here in tractor pulling tbh.. Those methanol allison on the other hand.. holy shit that sound, expecially that rattling idle.. 8)) !
+RoisinT2 Slaedehunden indeed, because it's just that different. They're building a new version at the moment, one with 3 V8's and one transmash V12. But if you want to beat the Lambada guys you've got to raise your game, they are performing so well. Let's see what this year will bring

To place it in perspective: it is true that these machines use quit some diesel in a run. Though the exhaustgases consist for about 50-60% out of water vapor. These machines run at a very high load and very high temperatures. To get these temperatures down or to control them they make use of water injection in the inlet system. Furthermore the diesel injected is a bit to rich, also to manage temperatures. That's why the smoke turns in to black. But without the water vapor the gases would not look so violently. - That's about the diesel stuff. The rest of the tractors are running on methanol (CH3OH) which is a very clean fuel to run, better than diesel, better than normal gasoline and it produces less violent polution. Don't look at the exhaust gases only, try to understand the story a bit better. It's much like big cooling towers. It looks very violent but if you look closer...
Mooie video ❤
Superbe vidéo
Every Prius driver’s worst nightmare.
I'd like to have one of those blown V-8s sitting in my little Nissan pickup.
Luckily I was there, Slaedehunden (3:30) sounds incredible. Like the sky cracks open and God was vacuum-cleaning the earth ;)
These motorsounds are the best!!!
Great vídeo ;)
first two are griffons rigth ?
Carbz Yep. Two MK58 Griffons. Used in the Avro Shackleton surveillance aircrafts. Made just after ww2. Great piece of british engineering!
First one has 2 griffons and the second tractor has 3 Alison's
I See a HUGE Mistake! The Hooking Personnel needs to Hook Safety Cable First and Last Before Hooking and Unhooking!
2:52 this is so close to being top fuel
great pulling
I miss the deep roaring sound of the rolls royce griffons and merlins
Good video and announcer...not like that loudmouth obnoxious red pants wearing guy in the other videos from europe
