Same here the Star eagle 🦅 will be prefect for my female bounty hunter character who is freestar collective settler who also is willing to help out the UC 👍🏼💯.
I LOVE this ship. Made some upgrades: added work station and armory, added more weapons, updated gravity drive, got rid of the brig and changed out the docking bay so I have less ladders. Changed the color and name. It is a beast. I did this all with no points in ship design but I can't wait to start building even more!
Just got this bad mamma jamma. Been cruising around with it in mostly stock form, just swapped out the brig with living quarters so the crew can chill out. Those missiles do a tremendous amount of damage. They may not seem that great, but the fire rate is phenomenal. Pair those with some UC Vanguard particle beams and wowza it's a beast. Steagle FTW.
Depending on your level, id work towards increasing the shield, reactor, and weapons. Particle weapons are very powerful, and you could get away with having just particle wepaons, giving you more power to put in shields and engines.
Just finished the freestar question before I left for work last night and was presently surprised there was a NEW/BETTER ship than the one I had been using for over 10 levels. Im on break and get off in 4 hours, cant wait to get home and do some experimenting and exploring of this bad ass looking ship! Hope you all have enjoyed yours.
I finally did this faction quest, and it's really a nice ship. First I just upgraded weapons and such and she was good, but I eventually turned it into a c class, I wanted more power for the pew pews, but I kept the A class engines so she still has the top speed of 150, those use 2 power so I added two more, you can get them at shroud ship yard. I also took out the brigg and added crew space, so it does 7 now. I moved the reactor and grav drives to the inside sides and it gave me room to add a workstation hab. So it's perfect now and still looks pretty much the same. I'm not a big fan of the mustard color scheme but I'll keep it because it's the ranger color.
Looks amazing. I understand the brig idea. Don't care for it on my ship unless that is, there are missions for transporting prisoners. I'd rather replace or remove the brig.
Im a little sad they didn't add bounty hunter missions where you could hunt down criminals and bring them to justice. Would be a perfect use for the brig
I'm at level 91, NG+5 and this, modified to be a "C" class, with upgraded weapons has become my go to in every playthrough. You can basically change just reactor, grav-drive and weapons and have a monster. I've still not found a replacement for it's class "A" engines -- just added 2 more of the same as they're a 2 power so you can go to six of them. 100 mobility, 150 top speed (it gives you WAY more though...) and kills stuff so fast I have trouble switching targets.
First thing I do when I get this ship is remove the stroud bracers and the radiators and bring the wings in closer. Slap some obliterators on the tail wings and switch it to class b then swap out the lasers to the vanguard ballistic ones. Depending on my character type I’ll drop the EM weapons in favor of some form of rocket projectile. Usually only on my vanguard or bounty inter. Pirates keep the em for easy boarding. One of my favorite class A to Class B ships.
This is my favorite ship, I take off the little things that make the wings stick out, slap a 32 reactor and a big ass grab drive some big storage boxes and add a particle beam instead of the missiles and I’m stealing every enemy ship in the galaxy.
Did they nerf it or something, I've been using the Starborn Guardian 5 then I got the star eagle only to notice my shields were getting erased by level 30 enemies I remember it being a lot better, plus when moving it feels really sluggish, I should note I'm level 62 and I was even on the lowest difficulty, yet when I use the Starborn Guardian 5 it's the enemies getting erased instead
@@CrimsonFlyboy I think I heard something about that, the shield did seem really iffy the Starborn Guardian shield seems to work fine though unless I just don't notice it with how easy it is to move around
Can you swap the shooting buttons? I am used to the Razorleaf and the stuff it shoots with left mouse/right mouse. Also the bridge is tough to see out of.
Same problem here… I’ve lost quite a few very nice weapons by putting them on the rack in my armory, both on the razor leaf, and the Vista Three. Until they come up with a patch… Do not use the armory or any other weapons rack. Same goes for weapons cases!

I had to make a new game because the mission reward was bugged (as well as the main quest). I could turn in the final mission and receive all rewards except for the star eagle lolz
To achieve max speed you need to make sure you have maximum power in your engines. On the left when your flying youll see your weapons shields engine and grav drive. Make sure to put *pips* or thr little white lines into engine
@@CrimsonFlyboy that was the speed with engine maxed out, speed only decreased when i took off pips from engine, I'm thinking it's a trait thing or I was in a glitched mission
I found that if you interrupted the conversation she is having when you are prompted to go speak with her about running there is a very high probability of bugging her out and you can't activate the run dialog. In your case, earlier save and let her finish her discussion with her security.
I had the same problem. And did a hard reboot on my PC and restart from the last save. Then she talks. also, I tried to steal the cred sticks from the poker tables by scooping them off into a bucket, using a tissue box or something. (I saw a vid where this guy did this successfully). I failed and got killed. On the next try, there were no cred sticks on any poker tables!! The game is just like your mother!
Currently working through the Freestar Ranger quest line to get this awesome ship! Can't wait to try it out!

Forget the Razorleaf. This is the class A to get. Rearm it correctly and this thing slaps enemies around.
Plus it looks sooo good
You can add storage pretty easily too! Mines around 3000 storage space

One of my favorite ships. It definitely works for late and end game. I also like how it's set up to disable ships, because I love doing that.

There is a big going around where your shield is way lower than it should be.

You can assign the weapons in any order you want. With weapon 1 being RT on xbox, weapon 2 being LT and weapon 3 being Y
Replace the weapons and you can reassign the buttons.
I don't know why, but for me this have more look of a "razorleaf"... (because of the radiators in wings) 😂😂
So upgrade to a 400 jump drive and vanguard obliteraters X 6 and this is the best ship in the game hands down.
Thats quite subjective. You can strap the best guns and modules on a floating brick, and technically, it's the best
I got all the rewards except for the ship and have tried everything i can possibly think of
That's a weird one, the only thing I could think of is that your at max ship capacity, maybe try reloading an earlier save
@CrimsonFlyboy doesnt matter anymore i made my own ship then my whole crew vanished except for my active companion
Do you know if they fix the weapon rack ? I hear it’s makes your weapon disappear if you use it.
Supposedly, they have fixed it in the latest patch, but just to be sure, I'd save beforehand to double-check for yo7rself

How did you get crew in your ship?
In your ship menu, press the crew button and assign any of your followers to your shop

You missed a ladder around 5:50
My bad, i just went back and checked. That ladder in the brig leads to a 1x1 storage room with the docking port ontop

@ingenuised it sounds like a bug, id try swapping to a different ship and swapping back to see if it fixes it

That would be my suggestion too, if you can't reload to an earlier save. Just wait around near her for a while and see if she will fix herself

yeah just jerk the camera around and show the floor for more than 50% of the time
