I pre ordered this album after Luke released a few songs from it on TH-cam, You are not the only one blown away by it, watch Blake McLain's reaction to it, I'm probably one of Luke's oldest fans (66) and I am still listening to it every day, one of the best debut albums of the last decade, I heard Mum just days before my own mom died and Oh dear! can't explain how it affected me.
I can't explain to you how it feels listening to Luke's and Ashton's raw emotions after I was with them every step of the way for all my teenage years (literally I was 11 years old) now I'm 20 and them expressing their feelings is so special to me because I can finally understand them
OMG YES. By far my favorite album from 2021. Luke's voice is just majestic and the production on this album is SO on point, it goes with the lyrics so well. He managed to make a record that surrounds you in such a specific atmosphere from begining to end. These two and Mum are my top 3 out of this album. I'd love to see your reaction to Mum as well, intrumentals on that one blew my freaking mind.
I was standing in my room folding clothes while listening to Place In Me and I just stood still with my jaw on the floor, it was a feeling I've never felt in my life before
I loved the reactions to both songs! And your interpretation of Slip Away is really really in depth. To me I sorta understood “I’m looking for escapes” in a different way I saw it as “you saw the worst of me and are leaving me alone in this ‘silence’ of my problems” but “instead of facing them, I’m escaping being alone with this by numbing the pain of it” He wrote in bloodline alluding to addiction, so to me it’s like “I cant face this and if I don’t have this person who meant so much to me, I have to not feel it” aka escape it
I’m so glad you listened to these songs-and I hope you continue to go through the whole album. Luke’s album is a gift. It doesn’t feel like it is enough to say that I loved it or it was my favorite. It feels like he gave up a piece of himself to us and I can’t get over it.
DUDE YOU'VE GOTTA LISTEN TO ME NOW. This album will change your life in all seriousness, no jokes. It's like nothing you've even heard before and I'll promise you this, if you don't like it and it's not as good as you though I'll literally give you all my money, my house, EVERYTHING. Lukes solo album is literally a masterpiece

this whole album is a masterpiece, im just in love with it, luke hemmings is a genius
his voice sounds so pretty on these songs, and some of them are so heartbreaking. especially, mum! wish i could see your reaction to that song
The way I cried when I first heard place in me. Like you said it hits so hard just in the first listen. It's definitely my FAVORITE on the album.
