I was riding these trails when Silver Mountain first opened up mountain biking and the only thing they did to the trails back then was saw windfalls out of the trails. There were no burms, jumps, wood structures.... nothing man-made. Back then a summer pass was 25 dollars. We could make about 7 trips a day. It was so fun!
Thanks for doing a video on Silver! this is my local bike park so it's cool to see your take on the trails. Kudo's on your riding skill too, it's hard to tell in videos but you two were racing through some very difficult trails.

I just skied up there last weekend! I spent the whole day just imagining what the trails must look like under all the snow. Definitely going back with the Scout in tow.
Silver Mountain has stepped up!! First rode there in 1995 and they’ve come a long way since then.
I hiked Kellog back in 2002, I’m so jealous because I’ve always wanted to go back There with my mountain bike. I’m excited you guys had so much fun!

Shattered my elbow at Silver last July! Final day of physical therapy is this week and I’m snowboarding there this weekend. Cant wait to learn how to ride again when the snow is gone.
Awesome! Turns out I’m about 2-1/2 hours from Kellog. There’s great riding in my area, but it’s always nice to have somewhere else to check out in the summer!

Magic place to ride
Rode there back in August, seriously long trails if you do a full run of the mountain, takes about an hour to go from top to bottom, then you get to ride a mile on paved bike paths back to the gondola haha. Very rocky/rooty trails too, their "flow" trails would be tech trails in other parks. The blue rated tech trail I rode would be black rated tech in other parks.

Until now I kind of liked loud hubs but now, hearing the difference between the two bikes in this video, I find the experience aboard Mike's ultra silent bike far more pleasant.

Goat rodeo is cowboy for “cluster fuck”.
Hot mess is probably one of the spiciest out there. I used to live near there and the riding is O.K. but I moved to Bellingham for obvious reasons.
Would like better if the vid quality wasnt so low. Tip: for best result watch on the smallest screen possible

I'm scratching my head over here. He keeps calling the chair lifts a gondola. But those are just plain old bench style cable lifts. A gondola is a enclosed cabin car like something you see going up the Swiss Mountains. Correct me if I'm wrong but if a chair lift is a gondola then I've been correcting people wrong all of these years. 🙄
theres multiple lifts at the park, the main one is definitely a gondola
You take a gondola from town to the lodge on top of the mountain then there are multiple chairlifts that take you to two different peaks.
I have a pass. There's definitely a gondola. I used to be a lift operator and I drive under it to and from work.
We got two of these for our daughters th-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L the same size for age 6 and 9. It works very well for both girls. Gears were very easy for them to learn. Changing gears up takes some hand strength and is a bit hard, but they are learning. They did not come with water bottle holders- we actually got confused and thought the Derailler Guard was the bottle holder!! Regardless of these details, the bikes are fantastic- even our six year old who only just learned to ride bikes caught on within an hour of practice and loves it. Lightweight and easy for them to handle. All the parts are in excellent condition and the bikes are easy to assemble and very well packaged. Great choice for kids!
