I added this to my brother Car 535ix 2011 CIC, despite they said it will not work with CIC, its actually working but we had to code the SPEED_LIMIT = aktiv under the HU unit and its working like a charm! thank you man for inspiring us!

Well done, the switch for US and ECE changes the style of the indicator, like yours square or for Europe round and the 606 and 609 means the type of navigation option you have (S606 Business Nav and S609 Professional Nav)

I wanted to retrofit this a while ago but moved it down the list to maybe do it one day, but that was $500 from bimmertech and that was still using downloaded data not a camera. Might have to cop, good looks.

hy man i just intaled a module like this i coded everithing but i canno t find HUD_pia_sli in my bimmercode , i have a 525xdrive with CIC navi is from 2011 with head up display and 7series clusters , i have the big navi , do you have any idea why ? thank you in advance

How do you code only in the cluster mine only show numbers without klm?
I had a drivetrain malfunction message and limp mode kicking in a few years back..bmw did a software update to remedy it and this speed limit notification was added at the same time. It was a nice suprise as they never said anything. I have the UK version as live there but the US one does look better. It's wasn't always accurate but ive had the latest map update recently so need to see if it's any better. They also added a digital speed readout which appears under the analogue mph dial. Mine is a pre lci so not sure if yours has this? Is it possible to remove the screen from the cluster when its out as mine has a bit if dust inside which looks bad when the sun shines on it. have you taken your car to a strip? If not what would you guess your 1/4 time would be? Idk the power your pushing but since you got downpipes and jb4 tune I'm guessing maybe 11.4 trapping 122-124mph. But my trap could be way off. It could be as high as 128mph

It’s factory on bmw’s that have lane assist &’ all those other features. Unfortunately mine didn’t come with that package

What does the do not pass mean? Does that come up for blind spot?
I actually don’t have blind spot detection. I think it’s just for safety reasons, just telling you not to pass any cars when going on or off a ramp on the freeway

Unfortunately mine doesn’t have the option that gives you the speed limit info. So this is just a retrofit incase your car doesn’t have it already

Weird. Got the module and following the steps. I cannot find in Kombi these variables:
ANZEIGE_NPI = aktiv (cannot find)
KI_PIA_SPEED_LIMIT = aktiv (cannot find)
SPEED_LIMIT = aktiv (cannot find)
SPEED_LIMIT_GENERATION = sli_gen_2_npi (found in different menu and coded)
RCOG_TRSG_APPL = aktiv (* See Notice below) (found and coded)
RCOG_TRSG_TIMEOUT = aktiv (* See Notice below) (found and coded)
in HU_NBT I founf:
SPEEDLIMIT_INFO = aktiv (found and coded)
SLI_NAVI_DISPLAY = nicht_aktiv (found and coded)
What menu did u find speed_limit_generation in?

I did everything on my 15’ 535 but the speed limit doesn’t show on my hud. Any ideas? 🤷🏻♂️
I'm having the same issue. The speed limit is not coming up on the HUD, but it shows up on thr instrument cluster.

HUD_NPI_ENABLE = aktiv
HUD_PIA_SPEED_LIM = aktiv
HUD_SPEED_LIMIT_ENABLE = aktiv
HUD_SLI_ENABLE = aktiv
PIA_HUD_SLI = aktiv
PIA_HUD_SLI_NPI = aktiv
PIA_HUD_SLI_PORTIERUNG = aktiv
PIA_HUD_VSLI = aktiv
you might not have all the lines on your car but all the you have must be AKTIV . good luck

It’s an option on the car, mine didn’t come with it
You need the KAFAS camera from factory if you want the original SLI but that’s an option as mentioned. This is the cheap and effective way of retrofit without changing windscreen etc.
