I'm a Bruneian & I visited this place on my own back in 2019. Such a good place with tranquility.

Margaret Drive has been completely redeveloped. I remember the old hawker centre there.

My former block was blk6c margaret drive beside queensway secondary school which is now Margaret view condo. The market building does not match with the new condo. The market was very wornout and with a smelly stench. The hawker centre was famous for the cantonese chicken rice on the second floor .The stallholder was very lucky because many foodstalls had long closed down since 1982,so the stallholder enjoyed full patronage. For the rental of one stall , they enjoyed occupying the entire second floor of the hawker centre. The chicken rice, peking fried dumplings and the lontong ,meesiam stalls were the best stores, the rest like fishball noodles, fried prawn noodle, wanton.noodle ,char kuau teow were just average.

what a shame that such a beautiful and serene historical neighbourhood like Tanglin Halt will be demolished in the near future.
