    I'm vietnamese but was born in Germany and just wanted to hop by and say welcome!!! Germany during fall and winter can be kind of gray and lifeless (even for someone who lives here lol) but hang in there!! I hope you get to experience the Weihnachtsmarkt (Christmas market) soon!
    They sell delicious street foods and cute things there. I recommend trying Schupfnudeln, Glühwein or Kinderpunsch if you dont drink alcohol and Früchtebrot if you can find it! Super yummy 🥰

    • @wednes3day
      @wednes3day ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Generally taking a tour through Christmas market food is amazing! (Back home the other big ones are stuff like Kräppelchen (idk spelling), waffles with something called schlagcreme and gebrannte Mandeln ... and for me foreign stuff like poffertjes and langos :p)

    • @minime8602
      @minime8602 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@wednes3day oh yes I totally forgot about gebrannte Mandeln, absolute must have!! There's something about eating all of those things at stands on the side of the streets while its cold....makes the food taste twice as delicious 😋.

    Your German is insanely good, considering you've been learning it for only a month! Especially your pronounciation :) Don't worry much about articles and conjugation - that will come naturally with time and people will be able to understand you even if you make mistakes.People will expect you to make mistakes!

    Hi there!
    I love your vlogs so much and just wanted to leave a comment to tell you that you don't have to worry about making mistakes! You are doing great. German is a hard language (coming from a native speaker) and Germany and its people can be a bit much, even for me. I think it is so cool that you decided to take the big step of an exchange year in a completely foreign country and we are here rooting for you!
    Btw, I love how organized you are and I think that your little animations at the end of every video are absolutely adorable.

    Maybe I have a tip for yo regarding the drained yoghurt situation:
    You could try the “Skyr” from Alpro. It´s a thick soy yoghurt. You should find it in “Edeka”, “Kaufland” or other big supermarkets.
    Hope this helps and my respect for navigating through all the new information, situations and all the other stuff. You are doing really well and for one month studying German a 50/57 score is brilliant. We often say “this foreigner speaks better, than some germans”. I think that says a lot about our language and how hard ist is (even for us native speakers)!

    It's so nice to see you adapting to Germany. If you have time I would love you to do a future vlog with your recommendations for Korean groceries that are available at Asian supermarkets over here in Germany (or at least at the one you visit). For example I never heard of black vinegar and will buy and try your recipe at home. I also find it amazing to see you cooking fresh every day. Doesn't matter if you cook the same meal over again, I do the same when I like something. 😉

    every non european gets so startled by our skinship culture ! even though nowadays people tend not to touch others unnecessarily, it's really common to, for example greet someone with a hug and kisses on the cheek, or to caress someone's arm while talking, it's also a sort of affirmation someone is listening to when they touch your arm/shoulder. it must be a big surprise, but please try not to think of it too much even though i believe it's hard :') it's a friendly gesture, glad the people around you ask for permission !

    Tip on the months
    January and February = lose the -y and you have the German spelling
    April is the same
    May, June and July= change last letter to -i
    August and September are the same
    October = change -c to -k
    November is the same
    December = change -c to -z
    It's usually only one letter that's different 😊

    Sending lots of love from a German, who studies in the UK but wished she lived in Korea 😅
    Btw, you know you can buy Greek yoghurt or Quark for the thick texture? I would recommend you try “Quark” or “Magerquark” as it has a really thick, creamy texture and “Mager” means it is really low in fat so super healthy☺️Another recommendation is if you like sweet, flavourful tea, try “Teekanne Mediteranischer Pfirsich”. It’s naturally so sweet and so flavourful. There is an herbal tea for everything in Germany but some truly taste medicinal 😄😄 Looks like you are having a lot of fun with all the activities!

We are happy when we say some words we learned from there. We learn a little bit about Korean culture I saw the japche dish in city Hunter before lee min ho used to choose and eat meats from it. Dramas are very successful in promoting countries. It's not for nothing that lee min ho ya halyu star 🤪❣️❣️

I have recently developed a love and appreciation for Korea, because of K-Dramas, too!!! I also tend to like what other people like ^^ even though people disparage me for lacking originality. Maybe I do, who knows. But I love so many Korean things/cultural elements/products now 😀 and they make me happy 😊!

    @12:34 Finnish Muumi (Moomin) spotted :D
    And oh gosh how annoyed I am with Netflix. I thought it is only in Finland that the Korean dramas I want to watch, I waited for them to finish airing in Korea only to find out they will upload them at super slow speed on Netflix. Now I feel a bit better to know that it is the same in most European countries too.

    Your blogs bring me back to when I first arrived to Germany. I also moved without knowing German, I hadn't even been here before I moved! Now it has been almost 6 years and it has become home. I hope you keep having a good time here and make good friends.

    I’m glad that you’re having a great time in germany! Some people might come off as rude but don’t worry they often don’t really mean it. All the best and keep studying, believe in yourself! Hwaiting

    Sadly it kinda has to do with bavarian small city culture
    Including the lack of english skills or will to talk to strangers in english
    U can walk up u most young to middle aged people on colonge leipzig berlin hamburg bremen and politely ask for directions in english and worst thing would be a a plolite i dont know where this is or i dont know how to explain
    But at least here in leipzig east germany asians are a normal daily sight.
    And i mean asians who are just temporarely here. After all we got a university hospital and besides medicin other stuff to study arceology for example also a lot of vietnamese familys for historical reasons
    No one would look at u like u dont belong
