Been a long time since CSP and really enjoyed seeing you in this element. I'm envious of your adventures and looking to do our version soon. Good video.
It HAS been a long time, Dan! Nice to hear from you . . . hope all is well! Make sure to post your build progress - I absolutely love this stuff!! Once your done, let's meet somewhere in the middle, catch up and do some adventuring! :)
I just put Nfab RKR rock sliders with removable steps on my 2022 PW. Easy to remove the steps when needed. Your truck looks functional and not over done.
I have a 21 power wagon and you can fit 35’’ tko’s in the spare tire area you just need too leave it empty with no air and a bit of finesse to get it in place
I hear people say a lot that they ride rough. Coming from a 05 cummins my 2020 eats bumps on the road anyway very nice ride. Haven't really had much of a chance yet to see how well it's offroad. It's all stock suspension too
Thank you!! I hope to be putting more content out soon. We're dealing, like everyone we know, with cancer issues in our family, so this has had to take a backseat for a bit - I'll be filming again soon.
The Power Wagon will fit a 35” spare in the factory mounting location by simply letting some air out of the tire. So if you have an on-board air compressor, there is no need to find another place to mount your spare tire.
@BigRig Overlanding it’s an old 2013. Had it since new. None of that big money to add things. But it’s a real beast without any upgrades. My ground tent and a cooler and I’m good to go. LOL. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to add all the great toys!
Ya, but you really don’t need the toys - your tent and cooler probably do the trick just fine - it’s more about “getting out” than “getting things”. If you get a chance, post a pic of your truck. I like them all - old and new! And yours isn’t that old.lol. Have a great day
Those are from Grey Man Tactical. They've got some pretty cool products - all tactical of course. It makes getting to your stuff super convenient: greymantactical.com/. Good luck on your build.
My apologies, like many families we know, we're fighting cancer within our own family so this has had to take a back-burner for the moment. I'll get more out soon - I promise! :)
Great video!!! We have a 2020 Power Wagon and a Rig’d ultra swing. We have struggled to get a replacement camera system for the rear 360 camera Where did you get yours??? We appreciate the help, thank you.
Thank you for your comment! The camera I bought was from CameraSource.com - it came to $499.95 after tax - a bit pricy IMO! It installed very easily and worked seemlessly with my truck's 360 camera factory set-up. Details: Relocation Kit With Camera Included, Fits 2019-2021 RAM 2500,3500 W/360 View SKU: CS-DTR-19RSC-HD
I think it really depends on what you want to do. The TRX is awesome, it's a ton of power and it's made to go fast. For dune racing, flying over washboards, etc. - it's the way to go (IMO, of course - I'm no expert). Personally, I tend to be more about the slow-n-steady and I find myself rock-crawling on occasion, so the Power wagon is right for what I'm doing. And my "get-there" highway speed is usually around 80/85 mph and that's where my PW feels comfortable, so it's plenty fast enough for me. lol. There's also a substantial price difference so there's that too. Good luck - let me know what you end up with!! Send a pic.
Nice set up! Is the rooftop tent level with the top of the truck cab? I’d like to set mine up like that so I can still (barely) run through a car wash.
Yes it is. I wanted to fit it in my garage as well as have less wind resistance going down the highway - better fuel mileage. Plus, my truck is already 7'3" as it is. Another 12" or so taller would make it even more top heavy. And - I like the looks of it lower like that. What kind of truck do you have?
@@BigRigOverlanding great thanks! I have a 2021 Power Wagon, but it has Ram Boxes, so I’m still researching which rack will work that can still be short enough to mount a RTT level with the top of the cab. The Yakima like yours looks like it may be an option.
I know it's been a year since you wrote this post, but I'm curious if you found a solution to your Ram Box/rack dilemma? Please post if you did - I have a friend looking for options for his. @@christophercalhoun5971
I can't say for sure, BUT my Yakima HD rack initially only attached to my Retrax Tonneau cover, not to the bed itself. I later drill and bolted everything to the bed to make sure it was stable - I just didn't trust the mounting system on the Retrax to handle that much weight being thrown around. I think as long as you have a tonneau cover that has a T-slots, you should be able to attach to it - Although, I did have to buy the Yakima Tonnea Kit 1 to make it all work together and look OK. (www.google.com/search?q=retrax+yakima+hd+kit&oq=retrax+yakima+hd+kit&aqs=chrome..69i57j33i160l2.13593j1j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8). It gets pretty pricey when you start adding it all up - be prepared for sticker shock! :)
I will never understand rooftop tents... Makes the vehicle almost useless. Do scorpions, spiders and snakes invade ground tents? Never happened to me before 🙂. Maybe get a small trailer that can carry a tent instead the truck. All that equipment looks cool, but...I don't know... Absolutely love the RAM though... beautiful.
I like my RTR, but it's not the only tent I use. I do have a trailer that I pull with my adventure bike and other gear - it really all depends on what type of camping Im doing and how many nights I'll be in one location. Roof top tents are quick and easy, so if it's a driving trip and I'm doing a bunch of one-nighters, it's perfect.
Well done Lane!
You've made a lot of well thought out improvements!
Love your rig Lane!
35 does fit underneath. I have one there. in my 21 PW. Just have to deflate it all the way.

Love the set up. I have a 2011 PW I am slowly building out, but likely not to the level you have yours. Bravo Zulu, friend!
Thank you. Good luck on your rig!
Awesome video Lane! Much more to come I’m sure!!
Most definitely!

Thank you for sharing that! I'll check them out. Yes, I'm trying to keep my rig as "reasonable" as I can.
Nice job Lane! Looking forward to more great videos on your channel.
Thanks so much!

Great video, thanks. PS I belive mentioned previously, you can fit 35 spare. For size reference, I use the Falken Wildpeak at3w, air down required.
Thanks for the info!
Same.. good tire
nice PW, nice video, wish new coming soon!

Should check out the Rebel Outdoors Moose build

Holy crap that guy is seven feet tall. It's like a Toyota to him 😳
Yep, Dylan is tall! He makes my rig look like a Tacoma. lol.
You can absolutely fit a 35 in the spare tire carrier. I have. Just needs to be deflated. Not an issue if you have a compressor on board.
I was thinking this was Moon Rocks at first. Then the background I am thinking Mindin or Gville?
Great video and nice upgrades on the truck. I hate you don’t have any more vids on it.
I saw that truck on the freeway😂
Where did you see me? We've been all over central and southern CA lately.

@@moelester3062 Yep, we were headed up to BigSur to do some camping.
Ram advertises the power wagon as coming with 32” tires. Mine measure at 31.6” @60psi. I don’t know where people are hearing 33”.
What is the info for the holders on the back of the seats?
This is what my old PW wants to be one day. LOL Goals vs dreams?
Rob, what year is your Power Wagon?
