    Toyota went hard on this one. What mods can you even put on it. It already looks slick.

      @alexanderkennedy2969 bruh, if you gatekeep cars then your life must suck I don't care if everyone has it as long as I have one. And yes I'd love this to be everywhere so Toyota makes the profit they deserve for making such a beauty.

    Since Toyota make a breakthrough design for this latest Prius, they should have made its cabin materials quality consistent throughout, especially the door panels and armrests for front and rear.

    Why are you keep driving in B mode which is intended to use on long descents?

    Why did they splice the max speed sections in reverse chronological order (First at 141.4km, then 131.5km, then 125.5km on trip odom)? Doesn't change anything, just interesting. Also interesting the accelerations to max speed did not eat EV mode battery capacity - stayed at 13-14% for highway driving segment. Wish they had shown the MPG display during the video.

      Good eye! Most "interesting" runs first. I think the car is only (or at least mostly) using the petrol engine when going full out. Sure sounded like it ;) Might explain why the batterylevel wasn't going down much.

      The engine is connected to both MG1 and MG2, at low speeds the torque is provided by MG2 assisting the engine with the high voltage battery with MG1 acting as a generator/starter. (MG1 is much weaker than MG2) When maximum power is demanded at high speeds, the engine and MG1 add their power together and MG2 acts as the generator instead.
      I would expect that the extra 13kW being supplied in the PHEV model is coming from the high voltage battery, and at that draw rate it would take an hour to deplete a fully charged battery at maximum acceleration.

    Is it loud after you deplete baterry and drive in hybrid mode at higway?

    Do you know what mode you would use if you are going long distance with the prime?

    • @cyclicalobsessive
      @cyclicalobsessive ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Long distances should be in HV mode which will still switch to "EV Driving" roughly 50 to 80% of the high speed travel. Switching to HV mode once on the freeway/turnpike will maintain most of the EV mode capacity for later EV mode city/suburban driving.

    To me it seemed to accelerate pretty rapidly up until 184 kph and then just stop. I'm not sure if he/she actually maxed it out though as there were other cars in front of him/her on the lane.

      The car’s top speed is limited to 180 km/h.

      It has a governor, electronic speed limiter which limits the top speed to 180 kmh, i believe it can be removed though

    Nice car but shy on access headroom. As usual for a trim loaded with all options, still no passenger seat height adjustement and minimal quality intérior.
