Last year, the Sliding MORyde rail was just coming out. I choose to get the "Handrail for Second Generation 4-Step MORryde Steps" (Item # MR73AR ) for our Surveyor trailer. It is fixed to the stairs and gives my wife plenty of stability on the stairs. I do believe I ordered it from etrailer as well.
I have the SRE 4000 on my 37ft Grand Design Reflection travel trailer along with the cross member and shackles and I really like it. It does a great job of smoothing out the ride of the trailer over rough roads.
We have the CRE 4000 and the heavy duty shackle straps on our Redwood from the OEM. I added the latch extender and it makes a big difference in how easy it is to open the door without having to step up and then lean or step down to open the door. Critical for my vertically challenged spouse. Picked up the cord keeper last summer at our rally and I really like it. The safe-t rail is cool but I find it not as sturdy as the hand rail I have that is attached to our MorRyde Step Above steps. It's not bad, but it does tend to "wiggle" more than the other.
The rail came on our new GD 415. I like the concept but they should of went a step further and added bronze bushings on the pivot points. Instead, they built it with so much slop the rail moves side to side a couple of inches giving you a false sense of stabilization. In the spring i will be making bushing for it.
That cord keeper is a must, it looks good, and generally just works well. Though, if you hook up and forget to unwind it, it can be a total pita. My wife and I always forget to unwrap it then hook up and have to get the 'ol step stool out lol.
I purchased and installed the latch extender and Safe TRail while at Quartszite last year. Love the SafTRail. But the latch extender was trouble. It wobbles a lot and it kept causing our entry door to open while on the road. I had to start using the dead bolt to keep the door shut. So I have since removed the latch extender. I didn’t find it helpful enough to out way its negatives. I have a fifth wheel. I did have wet bolts added to my Roadmaster Suspension. Love disc brakes.
Man I really wish you would check out the family over at Paving New Paths and watch their videos about their Grand Design broken frame and the run around GD is giving them. Really sad and has really changed how I view GD as a company. Being as big of an influencer as you are, you could really help them and give back. I hope you will Consider it
If your axles are already aligned then NO. But I recommend to anyone with wierd tire wear on one or more tires you definitely want to get it aligned. I've done quite a few and it is common for one axle to be off by 1/8 to 3/8" out of square. I use a flat concrete pad, a plumb bob, 6' straight edge, 2' level, degree finder, and a tape measure. To align an axle end, I use a chain, & a Porta power. It's not for the faint of heart.
Can we introduce these products as they are installed, instead of having a silly "introduction" filler video? Looking forward to your approach on the shackle install.

What, if any, suspension upgrades are available for single axel RV’s?

Do you have to do a wheel alignment after the wet bolts and shackles?
