Michael Scalese well you first must consider phase 1 and 2 armor. The phase 1 was only to get the clones out the door and to the war. Phase 2 was much more custom and most clones decided to customize a little further to be able to see differences in each other. Also the prequels were done with CGI, so in attack of the clones, the clones were not real people.
The comic of Vader hunting down the jedi and clone commandos would make such a good movie. It's a shame that there are so many great starwars stories out there, but none of them will be made into movies. Kathleen Kennedy is to busy pushing her agendas to care about telling an actually compelling story.
I believe you could make some epic war movies out of the Outer Rim Sieges. Many of them have precious few details about them, and they could be made gritty to appeal to a different audience. Imagine a Star Wars movie that felt more like Saving Private Ryan, or Platoon. Plenty of material there.

Commander Appo is what the Empire wanted, a perfect soldier, his marks on his armor was no different to any other Clone in the 501st, no individuality, and followed order without question even if they were wrong
