I was born in 1971 and we had the big old console TV / stereo that was about 8 ft long. It had the Sonic remote control before infrared that made that really loud click. With the changer that you could actually hear it manually changing turning the knob inside the television. I grew up in Los Angeles and they started playing cartoons with some ungodly hour on UHF. I grew up in the 70's and I had several of the things that are on this video. I was born in 1962 so yeah I remember being a kid and a teenager in the 70's.
Bobby Sherman was my very 1st concert at the Circle Star Theater in San Carlos. My dad took me bcuz I was only 10 or 11yrs old, I think that was the night my dad went temporarily deaf from all us "bubblegummers" screaming at the top of our lungs! I have all of my favorite Bobby Sherman songs on my iPhone. ❤😊❤
I saw Led Zeppelin in Pittsburgh TWICE; the very chaotic 1973 Three Rivers Stadium show (I was 11! and was with older cousins) and again in '75 at the Civic Arena. Both venues are gone now, Both were kick-ass shows, The 75 show had somewhat better sound (Being "indoors") Despite being 11 and 13 I'm sure both times I inhaled (by accident) more "weed" smoke than any kid SHOULD. But I have great memories from those shows. as to Bobby Sherman, I remember him guest starring on the underrated TV detective show "Honey West" which I watched 10 years later (In syndication on a UHF channel).
Born in 1967, in Uk, I, remember, the banana splits, champion the wonder horse, the double decker bus, bag puss, magic roundabout, Casey Jones, Andy Pandy, white horses. The 70’s were the best!!!
I was born in 1974 and I remember all these awesome things. My favorite thing was the music and the tv shows. I remember when BigMacs used to be BIG and tasted good.
I remember how, in the 70s, we laughed at the absurdity of paying for bottled water. "Water is free! Just drink from the garden hose!" It's still an absurd notion, but to be honest, what Marketing Fads aren't completely and utterly absurd; even today.
Born in 66, you got the times for sure! Glad you got Wacky Packs, they are usually missed. You left out Evel Knievel and jumping over anything and everything on our bikes.
I remember all the great TV and Saturday morning cartoons starting about 1969 on through the early 70s I played pong once when a teacher brought one for educational purposes. The technology was new and fascinating then.
Mood rings, digital watches and Duncan yo yo's. Only 7 TV stations in New York. 2,4,5,7,9,11,13. Those were the tv channels. And tv stopped broadcasting at 2am.
The 70’s were the best years. So thankful that I grew up in the 70’s. The very best of rock and roll! An age of trust. An age of family! An age of respect! I could go on and on! Most of all an age where most families went to church and were involved with church ⛪️ on all levels. I was so happy when I was old enough to be in the hand bell choir at church. Men were head of the household and dads. Women were moms! Wonderful memories!
Let's see, banana bike, skates that fit on your shoes, click clacks, Tiger beat magazine, tape recorder, sea monkey's, baseball bat / glove, Sunday tv westerns, easy bake oven, comic books, star wars ---- just a few things I remember.
70s kids definitely played outside more than the later generations. We were carefree and unfamiliar with child abductions. We knew how to take a fall. I used to play king of the hill in the gravel pit near my house. You learned quickly how to slide down those piles of jagged rocks. I feel really lucky to be a kid of the 70s, even if that means that I'm in my 60s now. I understand better why my parents missed the 50s. Each generation back had simpler times (except for the greatest generation). Technology sometimes isn't our friend.

Born 1961 what a blast from the past thank you
I almost had forgotten about those Avon decanters. My grandmother had that duck that we used to play with as kids.
So I get up like 5 or 6:00 in the morning. Find blocks of hours of vintage cartoons from all the old companies including Warner Brothers MGM Grand cartoons Heckle and Jeckle Hanna-Barbera cartoons. It was great🎉
Born in ‘63, I know the 70s all too well. I had both, Pong and 2600 Atari. Loved watching Mc Cloud, Star Trek, Charlies Angels, Toni Baretta and Starski & Hutch.
Did you get outside??? Lol!!
@@timothyslaughter476 I hated the cold..brrr. Glad I went back later to sunny Caribbean with my folks. Scuba diving Fishing para sailing etc. Cold is for stupid ppl…hahaha.
My parents were both born in 1965 so they were already in fourth or fifth grade by the time '75 rolled around. I've heard stories of Dad seeing the first "Star Wars" movie (from the OG trilogy), Mom owning a "Holly Hobby" lunchbox and stories of my Grandparents' opinions on the politians of the era.
Space food sticks and ice cream sandwiches, boy,do I remember those 😊😊😊😊
Smokey and the Bandit was such a great fun "date" movie, and still holds up after so many years!
Clackers. One of my favorites. They would chip and put your eye out.
You can still get Pop Rocks. Lots of the 'retro' candies are back, including candy cigarettes. We had 8 tracks until cassettes came and edged them out. You were livin' large if you had a cassette player in your car.
Pop Rocks and Candy cigarettes have never left; they’re just more likely to be found at candy stores and some specialty type stores.
Born in 1965 but, grew up in the 70's! The only thing we never did was the drive in movies. Thanks for the memories!
Same here. My older brother did the drive in movies where they would smuggle one of his buddies in the trunk of the car. But I remember everything in this video.
Born 1959 *****graduated 1977*******We were poor and lived a simple county life but did not lack anything important Love , hard working parents and each other Love and peace Amen
Back in Junior high school in the 1970's for a year or so, yo yos were the big thing, there was one company that marketed them the best Duncan, there would have yo yo world championships , then its popularity faded as quickly as it started
The Circle Star ! Our family went and saw The Jacksons there. It was really cool because the stage rotated so everyone had a great seat .
Born in 1967, in Uk, I, remember, the banana splits, champion the wonder horse, the double decker bus, bag puss, magic roundabout, Casey Jones, Andy Pandy, white horses. The 70’s were the best!!!
Pancakes for breakfast while watching cartoons. Mmmm
I was born in 1974 and I remember all these awesome things. My favorite thing was the music and the tv shows. I remember when BigMacs used to be BIG and tasted good.
You forgot CB radio's!
I remember how, in the 70s, we laughed at the absurdity of paying for bottled water. "Water is free! Just drink from the garden hose!"
It's still an absurd notion, but to be honest, what Marketing Fads aren't completely and utterly absurd; even today.
I drink from water tap. I wont buy water.
Born 1957, but the 70's was imo the best decade. I miss those days but the memories live on. ❤
Born in 66, you got the times for sure! Glad you got Wacky Packs, they are usually missed. You left out Evel Knievel and jumping over anything and everything on our bikes.
I remember all the great TV and Saturday morning cartoons starting about 1969 on through the early 70s
I played pong once when a teacher brought one for educational purposes. The technology was new and fascinating then.
Born in 58 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Loved and remember it all
Mood rings, digital watches and Duncan yo yo's. Only 7 TV stations in New York. 2,4,5,7,9,11,13. Those were the tv channels. And tv stopped broadcasting at 2am.
My favorite time of the week was Saturday mornings. I still remember all the different cartoons.
Best part about the 70s for me was seeing ELVIS twice in a weeks time here in Saginaw Michigan April 25 and May 3 1977.
Let's see, banana bike, skates that fit on your shoes, click clacks, Tiger beat magazine, tape recorder, sea monkey's, baseball bat / glove, Sunday tv westerns, easy bake oven, comic books, star wars ---- just a few things I remember.
Cap guns.
Also: proper Bubble Gum for blowing big bubbles- Bubble Yum! (And shortly after, Hubba Bubba).
I learned the Preamble! In 1976 I opened our Country’s Centennial Celebration at school by presenting the Preamble, it was hard to not sing it! 😂
