With the ones where they were fixing shoes - shoe goo is magic. You can get years and years extra out of shoes with shoe goo. I guess there are probably lots of adhesives and products you could use (maybe F6000 and jewelry/fabric glues) but shoe goo makes a good bond while still being flexible. I've gotten like 10 years of extremely heavy use out of shoes and boots like this. Everyone just throws things away and buys new stuff - which, there's nothing wrong with that but if you ever hit hard financial times or just don't like waste, it's nice to be able to repurpose and extend the life of your stuff. I come from a long line of extremely old fashioned people where hard times and the Great Depression are still taken into consideration and waste is a mortal sin lol.. I almost take it as a challenge to fix, repurpose and revive my old stuff and it's definitely a hobby I enjoy.
Love it !!!!
8:52 Friend made a spinning fork with a scissors to cut off spaghetti. It was all nice and finished looking when he went to Rome and used it! They were impressed and even washed it for him before he left.
Some of these are actually quite clever!
Watched about 40 minutes worth. Too much of a good thing.
Thank you for sharing the video it's very interesting
Love it!!!! Hey, by the way, Charlie Chaplin called. We wants his music back. Thanks
mows grass gets as... i subscribed because of that one
@37:09, drill out the bolt. Keep using larger bits til it breaks away.
Redneck enginenuity at it's absolute finest
my saying is "nothing is ever unusable when it breaks there is always one way or another"
If it looks stupid but it works, it isn't stupid.
31:27 This brings back some funny memories!
That's what I love the most about humans, that ingenuity.
Actually there's a valid reason for the chip bags thing.
1. The "air" in the bag isn't air, it's pure nitrogen.
2. There's so much of it for a reason.
They use nitrogen in the bags because it keeps the chips fresher longer. Chips are fried in oil, and that oil can go rancid easily, especially in hot weather. What causes the chips to go rancid is the fat is oxidizing. Fat requires oxygen to oxidize, so remove the oxygen, prevent the oxidization. And since nitrogen is inert (can't react with anything), and it already makes up 78% of our atmosphere so it's safe for the environment.
The nitrogen also protects the chips from damage during the delivery process. It's basically like wrapping the chips in bubblewrap, the more you use, the safer they are. Without the chips being in a large nitrogen filled pillow bag, you'd get nothing but a bag of rancid crumbs.
It’s Log, it’s Log,
It’s big it’s heavy it’s wood. It’s Log, it’s Log, it’s better than bad, it’s good!
Happy happy, Joy joy!
My home is going to be so cool after watching this
The microwavemailbox is plugged in so the light comes on when you open the door.
43:43 "I asked *OUR* husband to make a cake"
Anyone else notice something odd here?
The TV antenna resembles a Gray-Hoverman wideband antenna. I made one, they work. Used four "V"s from coat hangers instead of three "Tridents" but close enough. The 1.0 cent pennies would be more expensive than the ".8"cent washers? Unless they meant 8 cents.
45:49 I LOVE this! I want one exactly like it. Stainless steel camper on a double cab red pickup. Preferably double bench seats to fit 6 large adults comfortably. That's my dream vehicle!
Yeah, be very simple to make a quick jack on and off system :), for the camper part, not "jacking off", just to be clear :/
@@vicbittertoo I wouldn't worry about taking the camper off, I'd be living in it fill time.
That sounds like an amazing dream vehicle! A stainless steel camper on a red double cab pickup with plenty of seating for everyone-perfect for road trips and adventures.
thanks
A true test of intelligence.
0.30, love the pool noodle idea, I've an Aussie and have a very similar truck and the window doesn't roll right down, I'm doing this, Big Thanks:) ,
also 15.39. the Mog easily converts back to a flat bed when needed :)
The whatchmacallit slayed me! Beautiful..
The amish moving the barn 😳😳😮😯
Why did the barn cross the road?
These people could survive in the Fallout setting.
I was a telephone cable splicer in the Air Force. Most of the buttons on my work fatigues were held on with 18 gauge wire. 😀
Most of these are great ideas. Some, I have no idea what they are.
Love the redneck door bell at 4:28
NGL, alot of these are pretty darned impressive.
22:43 in. Genius until a rock hits it.
And that's, what you called work smarter not harder.
What's with the blurry boxes on all of the pictures? Half of them are blurring out the salient part of the picture.
What is with the migrating blurred box? That seems pointless and annoying.
@7:00, what's that ?
I think Mike Holmes just fainted hahaha
The best tool is the one that exactly fits your needs, not the prettiest or the most expensive.
Redneck is often a definition of manual worker for those who are just unable to understand the link between a screw and a screwdriver.
loved it
incredible waste of time at first funny, then amusing, and finally Why am I still sitting here?
That brand of beer belongs exactly where it is. Wouldn't drink that crap if it was the last on earth.
19:29 Why wouldn't you just use the tape to re-attach the broken arm?
Some are sheer genius, some are if it's stupid and it works, but some are what in the Bubba-hell! Retreat to a safe distance and call a responsible adult
It's not stupid if it works. 😛
@18:50 Lumber going from trailer & into pickup: That guy is not going to make any serious turns because lumber doesn't flex at the pivot point. He'll damage the sides of the pickup box AND still not make the turn.
@20:28: Brick house section on pickup as a camper: Poor Photoshop. Shadows are wrong, Truck's rear springs aren't collapsed, Tires aren't squashed, etc.
@24:23 Having to undo 14 bolts every time I change oil: This is a major statement about Automotive Engineers.
If you just stop and think you don't have to buy much.
4:30 for sure
I love old cars... but some styles i just can't get behind. Donks are one of them. Even i have to admit, that dude driving in the flood... i got nothing on that one.
25:41 looks like a homemade hamster cage
What is it about any of this that makes it "redneck"?
What are you going to do with a bucket of live rats?
1:49 Just plain water doesn’t boil over!
It will boil dry though.
