Our busy time is spring through fall with our business. Winter is really slow. Last year I focused on paying off debt. Well we had a really rough winter and now all our debt is back 😢 my goal now is to just pay the minimum until I know we are completely secured with the winter months.

I had to stop paying off cc debt in January to pay current medical bills. I'm just now able to start working on cc debt again. I used an insurance broker (free) to get a better deal on car insurance. Take-out is something I've been trying to do better on. Great video💜😊

And on the other side of the coin, if it’s temporary… I always say we can do anything temporarily. So, if you can - I think you should go for it! 💛

Take out is a big boo boo for my budget. I had already made up my mind to slash my take out budget by half or more starting next paycheck. But being too tired to cook is a big factor that I'm going to have to work around. One thing though, I do go out a lot for various social functions and a lot of them just naturally involve dining out or at least spending money on food/ beverage. I was at my local bar paying my tab last night and just mentally decided. "You know, I can still come out here and hang with my friends and enjoy whatever event we happen to be doing- and I don't have to drink. I can order water and it will cut this tab down by A LOT!" (Better on my liver too!) I'm not willing to sacrifice my social life, but I can cut the spending part of that pretty easily.
Yes! I’ve dealt with that before. I did the same thing. Started with water or tea or whatever and then I also would literally take $20 in cash and say- that’s it. I have $20. It worked!
I will try on this week's prompt. My problem right now is I am such a new driver that every insurance company is offering me a very high rate, but I am hoping that since I have been driving for more than a year amd I have no black marks against me, that I will be able to lower my rate.

I ate what I had packed and I came home and stuffed $20 in saving challenges 😂 (I did eat my lunch outside so that did help some with the stress). On my way home, my BF asked if I wanted chicken wings for supper so I don’t even have to cook supper! 🎉 I call that a successful day 😊

I do a separate checking account for my bills. So nice to put the money in the beginning of the month and not have to think about it. AND Since no other spending comes out of there then there is no worry of overdraft or money coming out that I did not plan on… win win!!! I have my emergency fund, also a car emergency fund so now working on my 3 month ahead.
Already did the insurance change a few months ago. My husband who is 74 yr had been with the same insurance co since he was 18 yrs. old. He didn't really want to change but, I said let's just ask and see how much insurance is at this insurance co. Ended up saving $50 a month.
Good job! It is definitely something that creeps up in cost and we just forget or overlook it. After a few years, it can become substantial. $50 is awesome!! 🙌
I am working on not using Affirm and Klarna!!! I am glad you posted today and I was able to see it right before I head out to work because I have a couple ($180!!!) of things in my Etsy shopping cart that I really want to put on Klarna. I switched mine when I bought this car- so I’m about due for a call myself. I’m doing it today. I was thinking about cutting Netflix and I definitely need to get rid of like HBO. I got it to watch The Last of Us and I haven’t shut it off yet. I leave on Sunday night to see my daughter - not really looking forward to “Family Week” but it’s necessary. Uhtred gets to go to work with Dad all week while I’m gone. I hope he’s ok. He’s so used to just sleeping all day and being home with me. We have a routine. Bulldogs don’t like change - I’ll be worried but I know Jason will take care of him. 💙

I'm on the struggle bus with eating out. My work hours are long and either I bring lunch and dinner or I eat from the hospital vending machine or I put my bucks in to the pile when the rest of the ED gets Chinese etc... Imma go for Chinese not gonna lie 😂 but it's killing my savings. So my wife suggested I pick things I like from the store and she can do a bulk cooking for me. But I hate making her do the work. I did want to brag on myself just a little-I said last week that taking my lunch to work was the thing I was doing to save money. Well, today was a very stressful day at work and I really wanted to break up my 10 hour workday by going out to eat lunch (my “comfort” thing is going out to eat)……I resisted! I ate what I had packed and I came home and stuffed $20 in saving challenges 😂 (I did eat my lunch outside so that did help some with the stress). On my way home, my BF asked if I wanted chicken wings for supper so I don’t even have to cook supper! 🎉 I call that a successful day 😊

I do a separate checking account for my bills. So nice to put the money in the beginning of the month and not have to think about it. AND Since no other spending comes out of there then there is no worry of overdraft or money coming out that I did not plan on… win win!!!

Already did the insurance change a few months ago. My husband who is 74 yr had been with the same insurance co since he was 18 yrs. old. He didn't really want to change but, I said let's just ask and see how much insurance is at this insurance co. Ended up saving $50 a month.
Good job! It is definitely something that creeps up in cost and we just forget or overlook it. After a few years, it can become substantial.

I am glad you posted today and I was able to see it right before I head out to work because I have a couple ($180!!!) of things in my Etsy shopping cart that I really want to put on Klarna. I have thought about doing a separate account too. I plan to call about house and car insurance once my claim status is completed on the flood. Will be sure to get 3. . .but also....like my car is now older...and may not need to have same coverage. Something else I did was call my cable company and downgrade the fees and took back my box that I was no longer using and that makes me almost $9 a month....#Yes.

Good vibes to your daughter and I hope she comes out stronger and happier.🙂 I think the only reason that I don't doordash, aside from being unwilling to pay their prices when I could pick up myself, is because no food delivery will even come out as far as I live.😂 Better for my wallet for sure. 😄 I have been watching Caleb Hammer recently and seeing some of the situations his guests are in has definitely made me think about paying off high interest debt vs saving and me being glad I am not where they are. 😬🤔 So as long as it works for my budget I will save and still get rid of the couple balances I have. Everyone's situation is different, so I hope they will do what's best for them. 😀

I think if it would only take someone 3-6 months to get that safety net while continuing to pay minimum payments - that might be a good option for the peace of mind.

I don't like sitting in the salon to get my nails done either that is why I do my own. I just got a dip kit on Amazon and I love sitting in my own home while watching TH-cam Videos and doing my nails! I find it very relaxing! Having a no spend on Door Dash is amazing!!!!! Great video Jen! ❤

I'm on the struggle bus with eating out. My work hours are long and either I bring lunch and dinner or I eat from the hospital vending machine or I put my bucks in to the pile when the rest of the ED gets Chinese etc... Imma go for Chinese not gonna lie 😂 but it's killing my savings. So my wife suggested I pick things I like from the store and she can do a bulk cooking for me. But I hate making her do the work.
