TWO IMPORTANT THINGS I LEARNED AFTER THIS VIDEO:
1. Nilah Q (the 160% AD Ratio) scales with Crit up to another 160%, meaning at 100% Crit it is a 320% AD Ratio, her Q will hit for over 1100 damage (WAY MORE THAN LETHALITY BUILD). I swear the tooltips don't explain this or poorly explain this so I never caught on.
2. RIOT HOTFIXED HER W TO DODGE TOWER SHOTS... In practice you use it right when the first shot hits and it lasts long enough that the 2nd tower shot also is dodged. So you can dodge 2 tower shots.
Wait, they want her w to dodge tower shots? I'm not sure I love that.. Do you think she needs to dodge tower shots for her kit to work or is it just another bonus?

They confirmed on Reddit, that the dodging towers thing was a mistake.
@@clearsn4k339 nobody is a fan of dodging tower shots and nearly every other champ has had that function removed. Idk why they would give her this when everyone knows it will end up getting removed.

She seems like she'd work really well with ghost instead of flash, similar to a Darius where it's kinda hard to stay on top of people without the extra movement speed

The damage in this teamfight 29:11 was one thing, the healing tho that's another story. Mf gets healed from half hp to full plus 200 ish hp shields. Yeah nice one riot.

I have the same issue with remembering the damage potential from the previous endgame and then overengaging in lanephase. The muscle memory just doesn't forget after sitting through that scaling process.

I wonder how good this type of build would be bot, to take advantage of the exp part of her passive. I know lethality varus was a thing at some point so I can totally see this working

She will work pretty well with the Gangplank build, and probably the runes too
All bruiser items and runes work 100% effectiveness thanks to her being melee. She would still need a bit of crit though to flourish properly so maybe yone/yasuo build or so?

I wonder if there would be a build path where you start out building lethality... but once you have like 3 and a half items, you would sell your items and buy 100% crit.... simply because there is a discrete jump from 99% crit to 100% in terms of stats bonus on her.
No she would just be another MF/Jhin/Graves that sometimes scales their build with Lethality into the Collector/LDR/IE package
You don't have to sell
Eclipse > collector > dominik > IE gives you 60% crit the pen and you could technically get 80% crit with the last item but ... well its a melee and death dance exists
for max damage you'd go essence reaver instead of DD then some crit item instead of boots for 100% crit full item (would be one of the most damaging champ ever with that , like dominik pen + eclipse mythic pen + nilah crit into pen with lethality dominik and 100% crit sounds insane)

The Q scaling seems pretty terrifying (especially since it chunks towers). I guess she's going to be one of those characters the enemy jungler has to camp early game so she can't get any items.
Gotta say, it's kind of wild how much of her playstyle Riot tried to dictate with this kit. "You will play her bot. Your support will be an enchanter. You will build crit." Good to see you don't NEED to listen to their choices on that.

I figured lifesteal would be insane on her to AoE heal but she just receives other people's heals + shields, not the other way around.

edit : so basicaly as 6 item crit eclipse we go up to 62.5% pen? that sounds pretty hard to tank her E having 2 charges resetting autos and her 320% AD ratio Q with max crit sounds absurd too with the 70+% AS from Q
she just seems way too high on scalings
(pen is from eclipse+crit build with dominik and passive)
That's assuming you get 6 items and enough gold to sell your boots. Otherwise you can't get max crit and use Eclipse.
@@TheGrouch91 of course. But all items before are good even without full build. Collector is great as 2nd item with the passive and a lot of ad even if lethality is worse than before, dominik third is always good damage wise and at 40% crit you start critting often (and Q ratio goes up)
IE on 60 is always good
@@voidroad Sure I honestly think you can build almost anything AD on her and it'll work because she has both high scaling and crit synergies.
However if you're going crit I just think that going with Shieldbow is better since you'll be relying on your AAs much more rather than your ult burst and that one can't crit. Shieldbow also gives more HP and a bigger shield so it will synergize with Death's Dance much better. Although Death's Dance will be good on her in any build because of how much healing and shielding she get's.

Finally started playing League again after about a year. Got Nilah, i'm two games in on her.. she's my favorite mid laner by a long shot right now. I LOVE HER!
Not sure how I feel about her objective pressure, she takes towers really really fast, but she honestly seems fairly counterable. I feel like long range champs will make her life hell
not if youre AA reliant. Or if youre immbolie when she collapses on you. I guess

Only adc I can decently play is Ezreal, but seeing Nilah gameplay makes me think I could play her as well, would be a nice initation for the other auto-attackers

Kinda sad as a Diana main that a lot of Nilah feels like a powercrept version of her with the R and pushing ability tbh. We'll see how she is after the usual nerfs tho.
Weird take bc Diana is a different dmg type and also a jungler so they’re good in different scenarios. Pairing them both together with a Yasuo sounds awesome

If you build IE and Lord Dominik's instead of Serylda and Youmuu's the ratios would stack much better and u would probably deal much more dmg (60% crit)

Also her soft synergy with Zac and Gragas? Crazy. Increases their passive healing and she gets a portion of that as well. Basically gives her a very small AoE regen.
Also Pek you're doing fine re: Al Gore Rhythm. Most channels are considered successful if their average viewing is 10% of their sub count and you're well above that! Don't sweat it.

Sooo, is rushing Essence reaver gonna be troll? 2800 Gold Item, Has substantial damage, Nilah has low mana for abilities and after using them, empowers her basic and probably restoring some mana too and the crit chance to supply her Q Passive. BUT Yes, there wouldn't be any attack speed and utility, that's true
Edit: It hit me after a while that if the enemy team is super squishy, lethality nilah could be fun, BUT itemizing is still important, and in a tank or bruiser enemy comp I think ADC-like Crity nilah should be the way to go right? cuz crit = Armor pen
