Not trying to downplay anything that he's doing here but if you've been playing league for like 10 years you're probably at least decent on most champs, he even points out the fact that with weird off-meta builds your early game is the same as always and with champs that aren't usually played mid you just have to get through laning phase. Again tho, really impressive that he's consistently climbing with this

Imo you should go Abyssal Mask as 3rd/4th item, not only does it give you mr against Zilean and Ivern (the only time you died more than half of the damage was magic), but also just straight up buffs your damage and gives you ability haste.

Hey Pekin! I love this series and you've just "stumbled" onto my favorite build! I discovered this form a high elo Gwen player but he was running iceborn, horizon focus as a core, all her e autos would slow, proccing the horizon 10% true damage (which is also proved by her ult if cast at long enough range or when you auto before). I love this niche synergy and have made it my mission to try it on as many champs as I can! I also love abyssal mask and manamune so usually I get those too. That leaves very little champs who can actually make use of the stats. I've found success with Cho gath, shyvanna, Gwen obviously (not sure about manamune though), kassadin was on my list of things to try! I also tried it on ranged champs but the iceborn slow is negligiblem honorable ranged champs that worked fine with it were ezreal, corki, Kayle (3 of my favorite champs). Would love to see you try iceborn horizon focus Gwen. Keep up the amazing stuff!

Hey Pekin, if you want to learn to properly show defensive stats at the end, show both damage taken and damage mitigated at the same time. Both numbers added together = true amount of damage taken.

@@Dyanosis This is a separate counter that I started way after I began counting his First Bloods, and was added as a suggestion from another user, meaning that is not synced to the original counter, hence why Pekin only has 1 FB here despite his highest winstreak being 3.
Also I thought the comment was already very long as it is, with most info hidden under the "Show More" button, and I deemed it less relevant, which is why it's added in the replies instead.
I've played tank kass in ARAM, where it's definitely less viable, but I still saw the potential. This proves it can work!

may I ask, Why were you building Muramana on Kassadin over Archangel's? Archangel's gives you ap and mana, which all your abilities scale off AP, while Muramana just buffs your attacks?

brand mid was just in a happychimenoises video and it has the rare trait of not being terrible so seems like a good choice for the last leg of your challenger climb. these videos are a blast and i've been liking the second channel content quite a bit too recently. (even though perma roam blitzcrank has an 100% win rate and 100% S+ tier content rate I'm not sure i'd recommend it for your off meta climb though)

Heimerdinger adc (apc, not as a support) sounds fun, I'm not sure if it would work. There's already a Heimerdinger jungle player and he can solo baron really fast, you could probably do the same with dragon from bot side.
That was a thing for awhile - with Ziggs (didn't really matter if it was you or Ziggs who would go supp).

Hey Pekin! If you say you optimize runes for safe early then why not go Second Wind + Revitalize? Both of them should synergize with both the Doran's shield and the Fleet Fw healing and you can just sustain infinitely. Baloori did the same with his tank garen top, worked like a charm. Also conditioning kicks in after 12 mins only which should matter less if you had a stronger early game no?

second wind revitalize is good vs poke because u will get hit multiple times per wave with which gives second wind a lot of chances to proc and be useful.. vs renekton hes gunna do 1 burst trade per wave max, second wind would get proc only once per wave (perhaps less if renekton doesn't trade that wave) and if second wind is not being constantly proc then revitalize does nothing.. in a situation like this bone plating would be much better, but even then he doesn't really need bone plating because kassa has decent ability to farm from distance using Q or E into renekton.. i think if the jgler was a ganker like rek sai or something he might would have went bone plating, but probably still not second wind
