@@NinjaShadow47I get the point you’re making, but the example is kind of…moot. Maybe I’m too deep into tech, but I often find monitors to be more expensive than TV. Of course there are exceptions. But a good monitor often is more expensive than an average priced tv.
Colored eInk have there caveats tho. They still use the black and white ink but have an LCD color layer on top. The contrast is not as good and white isn’t clear white. Good for comics but not for text books
My question is is there any ereader that will read the book out loud. I don't mean audible where you just listen. Something like a kindle where the words are on the page yet someone is able to read the words on the page out loud. Hope this makes sense. I presently have audible i would like to see the words the text on a device. Again hope this makes sense
@Tech Rank Is there an e-book reader that can read a non-audiobook book out loud? Even with a translated voice... Or can you recommend another e-book reader that offers this feature? Is there a Dark Mode (black background and white text) feature of these e-book readers?

It seems like someone asked ChatGPT to suggest the Top 5 E-Readers 2024 and make it answer like a TH-cam-Video
Why are e readers as expensive or more than a tablet ?
why are TVs as expensive or more than PC monitors? because they serve different purposes
The displays are patented and produced by one company at high cost.
Because they're much more valuable lol

Which of these allow you to upload your own pdfs?
All
*all kobo
Not kindle as far as I know
Kindle allows you to upload your own files (pdf, pictures, word, epub, probably more)
@@DavidRodriguez-rt7bxyou can do it through mail . I personally prefer mailing it
Both.
3:08 - Must be "Kobo Libra 2".
Are the all black and white screens only? Is there a possibility to get a colored screen adjustment? Is it possible to view PDFs?
Kobo libra has a color version!
Kobo Libra Colour and Kobo Clara Colour have coloured screens and I think they both support pdf files
Colored eInk have there caveats tho. They still use the black and white ink but have an LCD color layer on top. The contrast is not as good and white isn’t clear white.

Is a coulour e-ink reader suitable to use travel guides or should I stick to the paper guides?
Was it typo on NO.3 screen showed "kindle paparwhite" at 3:06?
I am glad I am not the only one reading in strange positions.. One fear less ;)

Pocketbook Era does it. And is also not vendor lock-in unlike all the options in this video.

Text to speech, yes, pocketbook definitely but i think all of them that support audio

Unfortunately the Kindle Oasis is no longer available for sale.
Battery time on it is bad

What about onyx boox? Do you know about them? Are they good?
Thanks for the short E-Readers comparison. I would like to check if all these reader is allows uploading ebooks to the device ?
If you are looking for a more convenient way to upload ebook files from the internet, the Kobo is much more of an open system than Kindle for that.
The kobo clara is also IPX8 rated, is there a reason it wasnt included on this list?
Adding pricing would have been nice
You forgot to mention that Kobo Libra 2 too adjusts warm light automatically.
Which of these has dark mode? Without it can’t even consider pick one up
dude, so you even understand e readers? dark mode doesn't even make sense for those.

All too small. Need something to read PDF in native 8x11" format. Something besides BOOX which has lousy software.
