Not like I thought I would. It only increased a few dollars a month. And during the summer, I empty and refill it about once a week. Takes about 20 minutes to fill it up to desired level.

It is sitting directly on the ground. I just made sure to clean all the loose sticks and debris before sitting it on the ground first. And I used a battery powered air pump typically used for air mattresses. Blew it up pretty quickly.
