I forgot to mention in the review that the Dunu was easy to drive and played well on all my gear; dongles, DAP and desktop. I really enjoyed it with the Periodic Audio Rhodium.

For the price, Titan S seems to be the one to beat! I'm getting tired of all these V-shaped Harman-ish kind of tuning, though musical and enjoyable, most of them suffer from having a narrow soundstage, less transparency and detail retrieval is often compromised. I have the OH10 and OG Tri i3 and T3+ - all three are Harman-tuned with slight differences in bass/treble accents especially with i3 being a bass monster. But I would love to have something like the Titan S - with a bit more balanced, neutral, I guess slightly bright tuning with a wide soundstage and decent imaging

Titan S is for sure unique with it's different tuning then the normal offering. Look forward to hearing your impressions.

You have four very solid options under $100 right now: Aria, Titan S, Tin T3+ and the Tripowin Olina.
Recently got an Olina, I can't believe this IEM is only 100 bucks.
I'd take the Olina over my Fiio FD5, Thieaudio Legacy 4, Softears Volume and even the DUNU EST 112.
    It's that good IMO.

I have the Dunu Titan 1 (as built under licence for Fifo to sell as their first ever IEM- EX1 mk1), and the Titan 3.... Both of these come with the exact same rubber cable tie thing Dave, despite being several years older - so Dunu obviously likes to stick with it. Both these early Titan's sound great (the Titan 1 is legendary for its open / airy sound due to multiple air holes in the case), and both are well made. It's a shame Dunu do not offer a free pair of Spin Fit tips in the package, as Dunu own Spin Fit! I think Dunu are very under rated in the 'scene'.

The Titan S has an interesting design where the 2 pin connection is on the shell and the cable. A 3rd party would work but it might look strange. ThieAudio Smart Cable is a good option.

Been a long time since I heard the Pandamon. I don't remember much about them to be honest. But if memory serves me correctly they're kinda similar but the Titan S is more natural with tone and timbre, has a smaller stage width but better depth and layering, imaging is similar, detail retrieval and resolution is little better and the mids and treble are slightly more elevated.

@@TheHonestAudiophile got it 10 hours ago. The purity in the vocals (and instruments especially if they are in that mid frequency) is stunning, accentuated by lovely soundstage. By purity, i think I mean crystal clear, natural. In right hands, as with say Tori Amos's breathing and whispering through the track 'Time', it sounds like ASMR. Makes me wonder how a high quality iem will sound! I guess I like this tone, timbre song signature of Titan s for a mids-focused genre. For more 'fun' and that lingering caffeine kick, guess there is Legato. It dragged me back 30 years to a friend's living room with his father's huge audio equipments and stirring sub-woofers. Simgot EA 500 (whose Treble didn't jar me as it has done to several -- guess my ears are more Treble heady and I like it for EDMs) however sometimes offers a tinny, metallic, sound to instruments and soundstage isn't as good. Anyway, thanks again for the reco. My next buy will be in this Titan s-que but with that tingling oomph. Guess will have to cough up a lot more dough for that! Cheers

Hii so I just got the titans and man wao oh wao! Easily the best ones I have listened. I just fell in love with the build quality! Holy! They just feel so so good! About the sound, extremely detailed with easy to hear micro details. I heard some instruments which I didn't really hear previously in some of the tracks. About the bass. Is it just me or the bass on this is low? I get that bass smack but not much rumble. I'm not sure if it's the fit, tried many pairs. It really goes deep. Small ones fit best for me. I'm not sure if I'm a bass head or not but I like the cca CRA alot for it's clarity and bass, and I feel that the kz zsn pro x have much more bass, but everything else is just confusing. So I'm not sure if I qualify as a bass head. But you tell, I think Dunus are not bass prominent are they?
I just want to be sure that it's not the fit.

This review kinda reminds me of my experience with the Timeless. They are a fantastic IEM BUT I feel it lacks with bass impact and it kinda sounds a bit lifeless without that impact. I'm in no way a basshead BUT the bass could do with a bit more impact. Might be a tip problem as I still have not found a tip I'm happy with on the Timeless. Waiting for payday so I can try the CTM Flexi Tips BUT as much as I'm unhappy, I'm also very happy with the tips I use (White with White ore, Medium size) and as the Timeless changes with tips, I don't want to lose what the white tips bring to the table. I hate this hobby lol The more I think about it, the more things bug me lol

@@TheHonestAudiophile The headphones arrived and have been working in my ears non-stop for 2 days xD At first I was disappointed, because even though I'm not a bass head, there are songs where a punch of bass is needed and the Titan S lacks it. Additionally, they play much quieter than the UiiSii cm5 and CCA C12. I'm not a fan of EQ, but in the case of these headphones it worked wonders and they still sound natural (biggest red tips). If someone would like to try (I use poweramp eq): preamp=4.4, 31=4.3, 62=3.1, 125=-0.2, 250=-3.7, 500=0.6, 1k=0.9, 2k=2.0, 4k=-2.1, 8k=2.5, 16k=1.6 Bass +14%.
