I am a helluva lot older than you. My TJ is a 1997 TJ Sport that I “special ordered” from Jeep Chrysler in early 1997. I’m retired military, retired federal game warden, now in my late 60s….and I still have the Jeep. All my kids learned to “drive stick” on her, she had over 150k “on the clock” and I don’t have the heart to sell her. I’m now considering a frame off restoration, with some modern interior upgrades. Mi applaud your innovative spirit, young man…especially those LED rear lights. I live in New England….and I hate tail gathers. I bet those lights might back those “MassHoles” off. Bravo-Zulu, very well done!!!
If you wanted to make the antennae holder stronger and easy to make. The slot isn't necessary. Drill a hole, put the grommet in, and just slip it over the antennae before you screw it to the jeep.
They are the Drake Off-road Hood Hold down Latches. I have been very happy with them. They have held up to daily driving and sitting outside for the past 4-5 years. Would definitely buy them again.
Jrazz00 the most difficult part was the prep. Took the wheels off, washed them, scuffed them, taped them off and then painted them. The paint has held up well even after a wheeling trip. Tons of rock rash but I ca just paint over stuff like that. I would add a clear over top of it though. I would like a little bit more protection from staining and things like that. Overall I am very happy with them.
For the antenna why didn’t you just get a smaller one? But other than that I really like your Jeep looks a lot like my build and I really like your wheels. Are they painted or powder coated?
Jorge Vizcarra To be honest I didn’t even think about until after the fact. I made it work and I will be posting an update/build vid this week showing what I did. I appreciate the compliment and the wheels are just painted for now. I plan on buying bead locks very soon!
Justin McGonigal thank you! I have never had a problem with the front fenders... it’s always been the rear. I’ve been pulled over a couple times by state troopers and they only ask about the rear. The cops in the area I live have never really messed with me for it, kind of lucky I guess.
Dude i have the same color tj! So glad I found someone making videos of the same color. What paint did you use to color match the body armor? I know quadretec makes the colors in spray cans but I’m thinking you maybe found a better way to cover a large area? Let me know
Jared Matranga oh sweet, I rarely see this color. It’s definitely my favorite. I got a paint matched batch made and put into spray paint cans. This was done by an automotive paint shop near me. It’s pretty expensive for just one can which is a downside but very happy I did it. Other than buying the paint and an actual spray gun, I wanted to do something easier.
Thank you! The bracket that is bolted to the windshield frame section I bought but it could easily be made by bending some steel plate. I may have to do that and see how it turns out.
WOW... Hahah we have come a long way since I posted this video!
Yeah its pretty crazy compared to now ! Keep it up 👍🏼
@@robertsantana6462 thank you!!

What hood latches did you go with?
They are the Drake Off-road Hood Hold down Latches. I have been very happy with them. They have held up to daily driving and sitting outside for the past 4-5 years. Would definitely buy them again.
Did you paint your rims that bronze color or did they come that way? I have the exact same rims just brushed
Jrazz00 I painted them. They were black previously.
Was it difficult and how well has it held up?

Your Jeep's door latch loop works as a bottle opener and there's one on each side. Takes a little practice. But good trick to know.
I have seen people use it for that before!! I’ll definitely have to give it a go🤟🏼
Jeeping in my home state, sweet
Sweeet! Where in MD are you from?
I was born in Bowie. Lived in Laurel by the base. Now I live in Tennessee
@@josephcogar1519 oh ok cool, I have some friends from that area. Where in Tennessee are you now? I plan on eventually moving to the Nashville area.
Bristol, by the virginia state line, about 5 hours east of Nashville. I live close to Va, TN and NC area
@@josephcogar1519 nice. Have you been out to Windrock Off-road park?
I’m in Maryland too, do u go off-roading anywhere?
Not typically in MD. We usually off road in PA, VA and WV
@@BuiltDifferentGarage my 1997 tj is stock for now but are there any mild trails I go take ?
@@Jason_Phillips3679 there are a lot! Flag Pole Knob is somewhere I’d start with a stock TJ. It’s in VA
Nice Jeep! Any issues with the flat fenders with MD police?

Sweet modification! Did you make the bracket that your spot lights are on or did you buy them?
Thank you! The bracket that is bolted to the windshield frame section I bought but it could easily be made by bending some steel plate. I may have to do that and see how it turns out.
what rear bumper are you running?
Hyline Off-road. Love it, very clean look.
What axles are you running?
Scott M at the moment I am currently on stock axles. I have a set of Dana 44 JKR axles that are trussed and ready to go in.
Humm🤔I did that to my license plate 15 years ago...
Oh cool, I had never seen it done before.
Following brah
