Neither has a splitting profile but both would be sweet on a 28-30" haft. Just don't use wood glue like all the pseudo "experts" promote, use pine tar that you can get at any tack or farm store instead. Completely seals the elements out of the eye unlike wood glue, which is water soluble. Both nice heads!
I’d haft the phantom on a nice 32” handle! You have enough bit there to get a nice angle with some draw file work! And of course you get the “ cool factor”😁
👍👍 the one you want to do- then when you get them both done….lets see which one is a better splitter.
The bigger one, and a 32"-36" handle.

I actually have a store bought 32" at hone should start scraping the varnish off, fun times
And yeah there is something cool about phantom bevel heads
I'd go with the 3 1/2 pounder
...🤙
On a longer handle I think the heavier head might do better
I know compared to the cheapo rko one i bought the 3 1/2 pounder is similiar to one im fixing and it split nicely..but i dont have much to compare to
I don’t care I’ll take the one you don’t want though 😂
