    I have a 2017 300s AWD and I've given rides to around 700 people and I would say probably over 90% of the people have verbally told me how much they liked the look, ride quality and overall comfort of my car. Probably around half of them comment on how quick it feels and, given that I've added a few personalized touches to it, probably a quarter of them have asked me if it was either a HEMI or the SRT model. Numerous people have told me that they now want to get a 300 because how much they liked mine. The point is, this vehicle surprises people, mostly because of ignorance and peoples unfamiliarity with the modern Chrysler brand. There is unfortunately a stigma with Chrysler that car snobs a d-bags bring up to try and bag on someone's ride. Fact is, the 3.6 Pentastar is literally an award winning engine and so reliable that it is in everything from Challengers, to Jeeps and even RAM pickups. As @Ignite Light said in another comment, it's hard to find a vehicle with the same qualities and styling of the 300 at a decent price. Also, no one looks at a Camry or Avalon and is like, "oh wow that's a sexy ride."

    • @IgniteLight
      @IgniteLight  2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Beautiful summary. The pentistar is an amazing motor that easily moves the big vehicle along and provides great power off the line or overtaking. I'm a huge fan. And I've NEVER seen a rusty 300.

    The 300 is a fine ass ride! I hope Chrysler will continue to build this nice sedan beyond the 2022 model year. As for the panoramic sunroof, the auto industry should consider including a rain-sensing monitor to automatically close the sunroof once any moisture is detected.

    I wish they had a light colour interior or dual tone interior to lift the interior environment, puddle lamps, and some accent lighting on the dash. Also, the rear shade is an under-appreciated feature. It does come to use when you have a rear facing child seat and you want the child to sleep, but the sun is at the back. For a V6, it does give good economy numbers, especially for highway.

Many people have stated they did not know it was still being manufactured but they loved the look as well as the features I show them. Chrysler could sell more if they promoted it. I had a neighbor who has a new Buick but would have bought the Chrysler 300C just because it looks rich and classic. I have been a Mopar fan owning many of there cars. I had a 1964 Chrysler 300 that was a metallic red almost like this car with bucket seats. This 300C has so many features AND COMFORTS. I don't consider the info I get as warnings but as notifying me what I need to do and remind me. How does the rear wheel drive handle in these Indiana winters?

    • @IgniteLight
      @IgniteLight  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Very well, imo. The traction control works nicely and I've never been stranded at a stop sign spinning my tires. The rear will hang out, but it is predictable and only happens if you intended it to do so or are driving outside of the roads/weathers limits. I've not had it for any deep snow but that is rare in Indy. Usually the inbound commute will have a few inches and the roads are pretty clear for the afternoon drive home. The rwd 300 handles it easily.

    I'm a big fan of US cars in general & like the styling of the whole Chrysler group. What detered me from buying one this time was the reliability. Last Chrysler car I had was a 2006 Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4 & I religiously maintain my cars & don't drive hard. I couldn't spend a month with that car without having some issue somewhere. Finally gave up & sold it. I'm switching to Fords for the time being

    • @IgniteLight

      I hope your Fords treat you well. Aside from styling, one of the main reasons I bought the 300s was for the reliability. I've never seen one with rust and the 3.6 pentastar engines paired with the 8speed are dead reliable.

This however means I don't have the rear sunshade. I have the Harmon Kardon sound system that puts speakers where the sunshade mechanism would go.
