I've owned the hatchback model for 17 years. The car is smooth and flawless. Much more robust and high quality than today's models. Engine, Japanese quality, British co-design and driving comfort are legendary. I have traveled 195 thousand kilometers. Trust the Japanese, especially Toyota, this model is amazing. Thanks for video
@@2BuckShot oil consumption is only on the ones where the oil was not change every 10 max 12 000 kms s. In 1 occasion 1.33 yaris less than 10 000 kms since the oil flow drills are extra small on the block.
I drive 1.8 auto Carolla 2006 hatchback from new .... It has only had 3 problems ..tyre , brakes and battery. I wouldn't ever get rid of it. it has 129,000klm on the clock.and I would say she would do a hell of a lot more
Con este coche se puede ver el consumo medio en la radio. Yo me compré el diésel 5 puertas, pero debí haber comprado el del vídeo, es decir sedán 1,6. Fallos que comete uno.
I have 06 reg from new it is the hatchback 1.4 and done 60k had a new battery at 10 years and just had its first set of discs and pads so can't complain and no intentions about selling especially when friends seem to spend a fortune on there cars. I wonder if the new Yaris will be as good in the future and what car would Toyota owners buy in the future for something as reliable and well built.
2004 E12 1.6 Corolla owner here. If you still care then my average is 7.8 - 8l/100km according to the car computer and I drive like a young red blooded lad would. Only time I shift at 2-3k RPM is when the engine is cold. So I assume something like 7.5l/100km is possible.

My dad had this car back in 2004 - 2012. It's still the most popular car in Sri Lanka as a 2nd hand buyer even if it's old.
Nice. These old cars run forever!

Very good cars , but some vvti engines like burning some oil - but it is normal so owners should check it ;)
