Goodwill should not be allowed to take out what they deem expensive items and, in turn, be able to list the items themselves on EBAY or other platforms to make a profit. They are already gouging at the Goodwill stores. Their big wigs get paid big bucks. They should be transparent about where their money goes and who it goes to help.
Here in Australia, places like Salvos do the same thing and the prices are incredibly high
And they hit the customers up at the register to "donate" even more money. Most people shop in second hand stores to stretch their dollar, and then Goodwill wants to keep their change. It just hits me as obnoxious.

Goodwill is a horrible company to work for, especially if you have a disability. Unfortunately, they are one of the few companies that hire people with disabilities.
They don't even pay disabled employees minimum wage! Shamefull.
First of all, it’s against the law not to pay minimum wage . Secondly, get your facts straight before you start spreading rumors that you heard. Do you even know the mission of Goodwill?
@constancerobinson1377 , my son, who is on the autism spectrum, worked for Goodwill in 2 different states, for 11 years. I can tell you horror stories. So yes, I do know what I am talking about.

I don't know if you have Hobby Lobby stores there, but here in the Midwest, ours had three aisles of home decor (Including some mirrors) at 75% off.
That was an Egyptian perfume bottle. Not worth a lot but many people collect them.

My Goodwill no longer has daily colors. Not fair when other Goodwills in other states still do.
The Goodwill I go to has no daily colors, no senior discounts and no books or paper goods! Gr
Mine ha never done daily colors and senior discount is only 20%, each region sets their own systems.
I have never seen a goodwill that didn't have daily colors in the 4 states I have lived in? Where are yall at?
I'm in NC and no color discounts, but they have occasional special events. If you sign up for texts they send out coupons, sometimes.
@debbiekennedy6030 I lived in Raleigh for 16 years and moved in 2017 to Utah. Goodwill in Raleigh had the color days, senior days on Wednesday and sometimes. 99 cent color on Sunday! If they are not doing that anymore that makes me sad for sure
Wow...nice and clean goodwill! Los Angeles has a $30+ million building and they just have blue bins!!! Full of fleas and I put my hand in the blue bin for a shirt and got a hand full of throw-up! Always wear gloves!
Goodwill in Lexington Virginia takes donations lots of nice things put them right in the dumpster.

My SA closed due to theft as did the Dollar Tree on the same street. What a shame. Salvation had good deals on kids books and clothes. I always found something for myself ofrfamily, but their furniture was always high.

Salvation Army in upstate New York is priced really high all of a sudden…no more items .99, 1.99, 2.99…..the cheapest things in the store now is $3.99 ! Everything else is up high! I will maybe keep up checking in,but no more buying from me! Many other thrift shops can benefit from my money

Those little blue & white figurines that kind of look like Delft that you looked at @ Salvation Army...you know your buyers, but I cannot GIVE those figurines away.
I even tried giving them to little kids, like "oh how cute are these?
They look just like you! Would you like one or five of them to take home?" Lol
In my area, no one (my customers) really likes any people figurines, so I ended up bundling mine up & selling them to someone across the country who said she had customers that ask for those specifically! Go figure.
I even had a hard time selling my Lladro figurines! And that, I had a hard time believing!

I do like the Is rock tree that's made from other gem stones If it was a few dollars If it was a few dollars I'd buy it for whatnot to sell on I could see a bringing $10 or more It takes a lot of work to carve all those trees out of rocksAnd work with the different rocks and wires

I have been watching resellers go to Goodwills on youtube. It seems like certain areas or cities have more inventory and the prices vary.
A clothes shaver takes care of those pills. I use mine with vintage sweatshirts. Takes a few, but they look great.
The iridescent looking perfume bottle green is not a Fenton It's from India made during the 90s Something like that sells for $15 max on eBay I wouldn't want to ship something like that as fragile as it is

I don't know far more than I do know but I look for items with a good sell through rate and sells for $40+ Lots of commenters educate me on things I have passed up and then I learn for next time. So if you spot anything great I passed up I am always happy to hear about it. Thanks for watching.
