  • As a student, resident, or licensed pharmacists, rounding with the medical team is something you will experience at some point. Sometimes you are required to follow a lot of patients for rounds and you want to make sure you're able to review each patient effectively before rounds. As a resident rounding was part of my daily tasks. In this video I will share with you the process I use to efficiently review all patients before rounds and also things that I look for to help make interventions. Hope it helps :).

Thank you for this video. I am a freshly Clinical Pharmacy student in South Africa and doing my postgrad, after 11 years of practicing Pharmacy in very different settings, part-time at a facility which is totally separate to the full-time students. Thus, it is overwhelming and at times challenging being the only Pharmacist on in the ward and working a poisons centre makes going back and forth from a Clinical (interactive) setting to a more behind the scenes clinical setting can have its toll on anyone. Especially where the expectations are so different and I find myself feeling like I dont know what I am doing.
Having said that this will certainly help me to balance the two environments since I am so intrigued by both toxicology and clinical pharmacy, and due to the fact that they overlap so much.
