    Hi Everyone,
    Just giving a little update as promised!! So after this video, PayPal replied on the case and asked me to return all of the items to JJs for a full refund. I had to pay the postage myself but I was given a UK warehouse address to send it back to, so at least I didn’t have to pay international fees and PayPal were going to refund my initial £36 postage! I paid £17.50 to return it via parcelforce with full insurance and tracking. As soon as PayPal asked me to do this, JJs, who had been ignoring all of my emails prior, suddenly emailed me back on the ticket and said that if I closed the PayPal case they would issue my refund as a matter of priority. I told them I wasn’t going to do that, as once you close a case you cannot reopen it (which I’m sure they probably know!) and I didn’t trust them anymore given the promises that had already been broken. So after I posted the items back, a few days later I checked the tracking number and the items were received. A few hours after the items were received back, JJs emailed me again and said that I HAD to close the PayPal case in order for them to send the refund!! This is completely untrue!!! If they ever ask you to close the case, do not do it!!! they should have gone on to PayPal, told them they’d received the items and my refund would have been issued automatically. I called PayPal to report that they had been asking this, PayPal confirmed that I should not close the case and even if JJs didn’t tell them that the items were back, PayPal would review the tracking number themselves and I would be protected under their buyer protection. JJs never did PayPal that they had the items back so I had to wait longer for PayPal to review the case and I’m very happy to report that this morning, PayPal sided with me and I received a full refund!! thank goodness that’s over!!!!

      I know this video is old but I'm shopping around for a wedding dress and saw jj house come up. I'm so glad I saw your video it was super informative and good for you for handling yourself so well. I'm so glad you got your money back. Thank you for the video!

    I used JJ's house for my wedding in January this year. In October 2020 I ordered a wedding dress, two jackets/boleros to pair with it, and a veil plus some other items. The sales team immediately emailed me after I placed my order, asking if I was going to try and return one of the items (jackets and veil) because they made everything to order and could not afford "buy many keep one". They said returns would be accepted if I was "really unhappy" about a product. At that point I became suspicious of how easy it would actually be to return items, so I cancelled one of the jackets. To be fair, the wedding dress I received was of very good quality (I got it custom size and chose a simple style so that it would be harder for them to mess up), so I think it is just their returns policy that's the problem. If brides are going to order custom size, it can't be returned anyway, so I would recommend it. The custom size was accurate to my measurements.

    Omg! it was amazing listening to your story. I was thinking ordering my wedding dress but honestly, I will reconsider this decision. I just can’t stand bunch of lies from those companies.

    Thank you for this. I was seriously thinking of ordering from them. I read their return policy and decided to ask if they except returns if the dress doesn't fit. They never answered. Then I see this video. I'm definitely not ordering from them.

      You would have received an ill-fitting "shower curtain". Do yourself a favor and buy a sample dress from a reputable bridal shop. I'm sure there will be well made, authentic, designer dresses on sale that are within your budget.

    You are so stunning, your wedding photos must have turned out to be gorgeous.
    I cant imagine why the company would not get their size guide correct, makes no sense to me. It would save so much heartache. I agree with a company saying they dont want people buying things just to try them on then returning them, that is abusive, but because the size guide is wrong then thats not the customers fault.

    I got my wedding dress from jjs house, I got my dress, a dres bag, and my veil, the only issue I have is the veil stones are falling out, so far my return isn’t causing any kind of problem, I sent photos to prove the stones were coming off and they’ve accept the return I’m sending it off tomorrow so hopefully there won’t be anymore issues! But my dress is absolutely stunning and I’m beyond happy with it! £300 for the dress and the veil was only £21 but it is beautiful just a shame about the stones xxxx

    So very odd. I've ordered from them three separate times, and all three times the dresses were fantastic. Did custom sizing all three times. Two dresses fit like a glove. One needed a minor alteration from a tailor that cost me $20. For a custom dress, I didn't think that was bad at all. I'm actually really, REALLY surprised by some of these reviews. I had good communication from JJs House as well. Not sure why there would be inconsistencies, but I'm planning on ordering many more dresses from here in the future.

    I can’t understand why so many women think they should be able to order several dresses and return the ones they don’t like - these dresses are custom made , they cost money to make and if they are returned, maybe no one will ever purchase that dress. Also, they would have a lot of dresses on shelves waiting for a buyer which would mean a large warehouse (costing more money). I have zero affiliation with JJ’s house but I am a business woman in a custom order business, our return policy is the same as are most custom businesses. Someone has spent time, product was used, shipping…this all costs money and the company shouldn’t/can’t be on the hook so you ladies can play dress up

      With your attitude I wonder how you stay in business. It is what they advertise. I am very skeptical myself, and how many people need a custom dress anyway? I would think you could buy one in a department store and have them altered if need be.

      If the dresses are custom-ordered then no they shouldn't be able to be returned. But if they are standard sizes, of course they should. Think of it this way, if you went to a store you would try on many things to decide which one you like. With an online store you should be able to do the same. You should have at least 14 days to return, but the customer pays the shipping.

    Thank you for sharing! I also was considering ordering from them as they had a good selection of dresses and their return policy sounded really good. But after watching this video, I have changed my mind.

    You can sue them under the consumer law which denotes if a product or service breaks, is not fit for purpose or does not do what the seller or advertisement said it would do, you can ask for a repair, replacement or refund. And if they do not stay true under this law then what they're doing is basically illegal in practise.

    Thanks for this video. Unfortunately, it is hard to find an honest review because they sponsor many of the videos on JJ's house.
    I just ordered one dress based on the size guide so that I can return it in case it does not fit. After I saw your video, and two days after I bought it, I reached out to them to ask them to customize it for me (to avoid the return hazard). And now they want to charge me EXTRA for the change (basically almost 90 pounds more from a dress that costed 180). I wrote them I will not pay extra but that PLEASE be true to the size guide. I should have seen your video before.

      It's in their policy they charge extra anyways for custom sizing 🤦‍♀️ plus it was TWO days later

    Interesting. I use JJ’s for many things, including my wedding dress, and I’ve had nothing but good experience. I had to return a pair of heels because their size chart is off, I agree. It took a while, but I got a full
    Refund. Cheers!

      How fast do you receive your items?
      It’s been two weeks. & I’m STILL waiting on my things. Delivery did not say 2 weeks. & I can’t get ahold of anyone to let me know. & yes, I’ve checked the app. There’s no delivery date. Just a “it’s here___”

      @@renerodriguez2926 It depends on which type of shipping you pay for…if you got the cheap shipping, then yes, it takes longer to reach you. I bought 2 custom dresses and got them both from making my order to at my doorstep in less than 3 weeks- both times. My other “Knick knack” kind of stuff took a bit longer because that’s what I paid for.
      Also, don’t check shipping status through the app, go through your laptop because their mobile app doesn’t show you as much information. Last but not least, if you log in to your account on your laptop or iPad, you can select the chat 💬 icon and you will Get immediate help that way.
      I’m telling you I got my STUNNING wedding dress and PERFECT maid of honor dress from JJ’s. Shoes, hair accessories, jewelry, clutch bags, and bridal and groom Knick knacks….all fantastic. Good luck!!!
      PS- I got my daughters MOH satin dress on JJ’s for $79 and I saw the exact same dress at David’s for $249!

    I ordered my bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets and all the button holes. Really pleased with them, the button holes are smaller than I thought. Do wish I got them for the 3 little page boys but was £27.99 postage. They have some lovely wedding dresses but put off by the can't return sale items policy

    If their sizing chart doesn't represent their actual sizes then they should accept returns! If their items don't look like the items in their pictures, again they should accept returns, the items with yellow glue showing thru that's their fault and no one is going to want yellow glue to be showing! This is the 2nd time I've seen the glue showing yellow, but the other was on lace on a wedding dress! Then a chat person had mentioned ordering champagne color if you wanted ivory, and ivory if you wanted a white dress...that wasn't the case! The champagne is a true champagne color and they wouldn't accept the return even though it wasnt a custom sized dress...their representative mentioned get the champagne for ivory so that's their fault and should accept the return.

    I have heard a few people having these kinds of disaster situations happening with some online retailers (not naming names), and it really, REALLY puts me off buying things online. I need to know that I can trust a company to behave professionally if anything goes wrong, and not just give someone the run-around!!
    I really hope that you manage to get your refund sorted soon - how awful!!

    My experience with them was very negative as well. It’s been since June 4th and I’m yet to get my money back. They finally said they’ll give my money back but it will take time. I was stupid to close the case with PayPal and they disappeared

    For people purchasing wedding dresses, even if you purchase it through a website like this and it doesn't fit, you can always get it altered, as what you would have to do if you purchased a wedding dress in store. If you choose a dress size instead of getting it custom size they have to make it long enough for tall girls and big enough in the bust for big breasted girls so those things always need to be altered no matter where you buy from if you don't get custom size and those alterations in wedding dresses can be $300-400, I haven't ordered yet but from reviews that people custom size their dress they didn't have to get any alterations which is a hug savings for wedding dresses

    I think this may be a with direct orders from businesses in China. I ordered two items (not clothing) from a company in China that were not anything like what they advertised. They were a joke and more a child's novelty item. When I requested return shipping to ship them back they offered 40% and we keep the hilarious items. This went back and forth until it was 80% and we keep the, what they called, "beautiful home decor" items. I disputed through my credit card company and AFTER they approved the dispute I suddenly got an email that they would refund 100% and we keep the poor replica of what they were selling.

I’ve looked and looked for a similar dress but haven’t found what I’m looking for. Do you still have the dress and would you consider selling it?

      I don’t still have it unfortunately! When I raised the PayPal case, PayPal said I had to return all of the items from the order to get the refund! I still had to pay a fortune to send it back which was a pain, but at least I got the money back for the products!!

I’d definitely recommend checking out ASOS as the quality is fab and with the free delivery and returns, if they arrive and you weren’t happy with the sizing or quality, it’s just hassle free to get them back/a refund!! BooHoo also have some nice options (though a smaller range!)! Hope you manage to find some dresses you love 💕

    Hi Alexandra, I’m having the same concerns about whether to get a size 8 or not based on their size chart! I’m a 69cm waist, and the chart said a size 8 is only 65cm. I know the 10 would be too big, but I’m worried about risking the 8. Based on your own experience, do you think my 69cm waist would fit into the actual size of a size 8?
    My bust and hips sizes are spot on for the size 8 chart it’s only the waist that might be small.

      I’m not sure how reliable their sizes are tbh, I ordered the 10 based of the size chart for the wedding dress but it was too big and the 8 would have been way better for me!! But that could have just been a one off or for just that dress 😬 I don’t want to suggest which you go for tbh in case i give the wrong advice, as the returns process is a real nightmare xx

    The picture rarely matches the actual dress. I suspect they make an expensive dress for the website picture and then recreates your dress much more cheaply.

      Hi, I went with the ivory colour! It definitely ran big on me compared to their size guide, which said I should get the UK 10, which i ordered but the size UK 8 would have been much better. I am normally a UK 8, so that makes sense, but based on their measurements their size guide said to go with the 10!

      Yes I did eventually and only because PayPal sided with me on the case. JJs were supposed to tell PayPal that the return had arrived back with them and i would have received an automatic refund from PayPal, but they never did, instead they emailed me twice, after they had all of the items back and asked me to close the PayPal case as I “had” to do this, in order for them to be able to refund me. Another lie!!! I truly believe if I had have closed the case, which I wouldn’t have been able to reopen, that i wouldn’t have seen the items or money again!!!

      Yes luckily PayPal sided with me, even though JJs House never confirmed with them that they had the items back, like they should have and I got a full refund (minus the £17.50 it cost to return!!!!) !!! Luckily PayPal just checked the tracking number themselves! JJs House also kept emailing me beforehand to tell me I "HAD to close the case" in order for them to refund me.... which is not true and If I'd have closed the case, I wouldn't be able to reopen it, which I'm sure they know, so I highly doubt I would have ever seen the money or the items again!

    The dress at 12:00 probably would have fit better if you connected the straps in the middle of your back like it was supposed to.

      I was alone and couldn’t reach the hook and eyes unfortunately but it wouldn’t have made a difference at all, as it was really really big on my waist, and the strap across the back (which is just decorative really) wouldn’t have helped that unfortunately :(

    I bought a dress from JJ house and I was very happy.
    What are talking about?
    They're very nice.
    Because the size I orderd was larger they sent me back 1/2 price refund.

      Thank you for watching!! My main problem is more with their after care rather than the products themselves, I did actually really like the bridesmaid dress, as I mention in the video. But as I explain in the video, they promised a refund twice and unfortunately they never sent it to me, so I had to escalate this to PayPal for them to step in and sort it out :( at the minute I’m hundreds of pounds out of pocket and I don’t know if I will get any back sadly :( Great to hear you did actually receive your refund though!
