The old prince of Persia was really very good one of the best games I ever played, and with modern technologies they could create one of the best story games like assassin's Creed but instead they make this game

The same team that made Rayman Legends is behind this. Take Symphony of the Night and mix it with some Persia and it looks like they got a masterpiece on their hands. Even Symphony of the Night sold less than a million copies back in the day yet it is regarded as one of the greatest games ever made.
Every boss was the same and all the main characters attacks are just spamming the same shit. Im worried if this is gonna be fun...
I actually really want this to do well in hopes of a Castlevania revival. Watching this just gives me ideas and what it would look like
with castlevania having two shows it should have a game.

It seems like many of the attacks are the same, which could get boring. Unless you get more and more upgraded attacks as the game goes on, it could get very repetitive.
There will be more combo, and special combo and parry takedown, which you can switch from the wak-wak tree (in-game save point)
Sounds like a similar game 🤔 Maybe Hollow Knight where all the attacks were the same and people still loved it. Games are more than just combat.
Are the bosses suppose to melt in under 30 sec lol
-Voice sync is off.
-Some of the lines are improperly delivered.
-Font looks a bit too mobile.
-There is a lag for when the boss music cuts in.
-The way the boss died was anti-climactic.
Metroid dread was my first metroidvania style game and i fell in love with it, this is a day 1 for me.

One of the best things about prince of persia was the traversal mechanics. One of the first with a good time rewind and wallrun. Weird they would reboot it as a side scroller beat em up.

Fair opinion. I want to like it so much but the Wakanda hairstyle really is bothering me. I guess my head canon for this guy would be an adopted slave becoming a body guard named Sargon because this guy definitely isn't Persian. I'll get it pre owned, Ubisoft as a company needs to die already.

1st: the Persian Empire is one of the largest empires to ever exist, reaching into Europe and Africa. That means that canonically, there were Persians with African hair.
2nd: The Prince's ethnicity did not change, as the main character of this game isn't the Prince. His name is Sargon, and he is the newest member of the elite fighting force known as the Immortals. The Prince in this game is named Ghassan, as stated at 3:58, and is the man seen giving Sargon the sash.

Honestly don't know how Ubisoft isn't bankrupt. Stock price is already down to 2016 era, they definitely wouldn't survive a recession.
what happened at 12:44? Is it a glitch? The boss just stands up and then falls down again which looks pretty goofy. Also, the game doesn't look all that challenging, which is weird for a Metroidvania game. I was expecting something Hollow Knight level but I guess it isn't like that.

Gotta love how when a game dont have hyper realistic graphics people shit on it and doubt it can be a good game. Look at what wind waker did back in the day toonish graphics but was a phenomenal game. This is why game devs are afraid to try new things and art styles.
I payed over $50 for this. 😞 Mirror Of Fate was way better and it was free.

Yes, they do say that it's getting back to "the roots of the original." That is due to the original, which was published in 1989, being a 2D, side scrolling, action platformer. And PoP: The Lost Crown is a 2.5D, side scrolling, action platformer. Thus, putting it pretty close in spirit to the original.

Real bad move from Ubisoft. Should’ve took it back to the old style gameplay which looks and plays a lot better I’ll pass on this one. Can’t wait for the last of us part 2 ps5 upgrade and ff7 rebirth

Yeah it's no Sands of Time, but Symphony of the Night is ALSO one of the greatest games of all time and I love those types of games too. I think I'm in for this once it goes down in price. I already have Tekken 8 and FFVII Rebirth on pre-order lol.

This looks horrible. I don't see a "Prince" or anything "Persian" anymore. The game just got worse, with this version being the worst of all its predecessors. This is disappointing. There might be an intention behind this to destroy the game's repetition...

Sidescrolling doesnt mean mobile but I get what youre saying. Apparently the full remake is still coming but it sounds like a bit of development hell (like 3 major ubisoft games are in that state). This does look like a good game but I understand thats not what most of the fanbase wanted
