Gavin on the Way to a Stormwater Drain to clear, before the next Rain come. With a great Nozzle begin You the Work, Roots, Roots come out. But the Camera to show, the Drain have a pair Perforation You clear and to mark the Perforation for a repair , A Interesting Video, and good Work. Greeting 🇦🇹
As a Yank, I hear a line from my favorite baseball song, "So let's root, root, root for the home team ..." What a string of roots with a stubborn one at the end! Another entertaining vid.
ROOOOOOOOOOTS ,ya gotta love the sound ,Gavin's got it down, Time for the old single barrel to drag out the rest ,dislodged pipes Roots will be back in no time if not dug up and repaired ,
I just love how excited you get! I have introduced my hubby to your channel as he wants to try and unblock a blockage below a roof down pipe. I have been giving him tips! 😂
g'day all the way from the uk gavin nice to see the video keeping me occupied catching on some ive missed with you & ollie im recupriating from a total knee replacement at present a bit to go yet gav ill re-watch a few older ones aswell thanks mate kelvin from the uk xx
When I first started watching you more than two years ago, I used to wonder where the water went when it appeared to stop flowing out of the pipe. Then I realised that there were blockages in the pipe which you'd broken through which were preventing water from coming out immediately;. So now its less of a surprise when there's a big burst of dirty water followed by a root ball around the nozzle.
Rooots! On a rainy day no less ,sucks working with the cameras outside but you did a damn good job on all counts. That was one nasty intrusive root caused dislocate at 4.57 meters in and that geyser in the front yard is where one of the problems lies. Crushed pipe and another break will have to be addressed in the future , but it flowing good now. The other side of the houses drain goes to a badly crushed pipe in yard. Great show and tell on the work Gav!
I love your enthusiasm for roots. I always feel better after a good rainwater clean. Perhaps the drains could be sited a few inches deeper for new builds to avoid damage from heavy weights. Coming from rural UK where I'm lucky to have mains drains, all my rain water goes to pits which are much deeper and just get re,sited when they stop working Thanks for all your hard work
yea thats what I dont get about places like Australia and the USA - their villages, towns and cities are all much newer than ours, yet many areas dont have ANY municipal storm drainage, and even worse, many houses gutters just are allowed to flow into the garden! For those unfamiliar with the UK, almost everywhere here has either municipal storm drains or municipal combined (storm+foul) drains. Its part of basic building code that you have to connect rainwater gutters to the storm system!
@@Debbiebabe69 It just isn't necessary in like 95% of all cases throughout the united states. And where it is necessary, it is either there, or there isn't the infrastructure in place yet to cover the vast distances. One of the main reason there isn't a nationwide standardized storm drainage system is in part due to the shear size of the US. It would cost TRILLIONS to do something like that on a national scale. Just consider the land mass difference and you can start to understand the differences. The US is 3,937% larger than the UK, with a land mass of 9,833,517 sq. km. to the UK's 243,610 sq. km. With an average cost of 150$ per linear foot, plus the cost of storm basins, it quickly adds up with an average landowner owning 16.9 acres. The average for an American citizen is 3.9 acres. So it isnt impossible, just not really necessary in many places. We don't receive nearly as much rain as you in most of the US. There are parts that gets even more than the UK, but it is a smaller portion of the States where that is the case.
Good morning Gavin happy Friday wonderful job love how you get excited about pulling the roots out keep up the good work and keep the videos coming have a bless day
Only a 6/10 on the Willy Wonka chocolate river scale for the first one. A bit too watery. But the second drain gets a 9 for that scrumptious dark chocolate.
I’m curious as to how far away the jetter nozzle is! I’ve seen this process many times and on one occasion, the nozzle entered a house soil pipe and forced human waste onto the bathroom ceiling. The tenant was not amused!! Meantime, that needs to be dug up as it looks like a sub standard drainage job!
Ah.... back to what we love best. Roooooooots! You can't beat a muddy mess & roooooooooooots, can you.👍 Nice one Gav... and love your little brolly for the camera rig. Nice 😁
For repairing your outer covering try using heat shrink tubing. There are two kinds, with and without a kind of glue. Just slide it over the torn area and heat shrink with hair drier, good luck mate
Hi just mentioned to Oliver & Ratty Drain Addict LOL -- Down there he just scraped his hose and cut off about 30 ft , Well go to any Electrical supply company that sell to service crews and people that need Breaker box`s and such Conduit pipe but they have any size of Heat shrink tubing up to 4" wide and 4 Ft long just put over top and use a Torch flame or Heat gun to shrink it saves hose and is very strong never know it was scuffed ..
Kegiatan sangat mulia. Dibayar itu wajar aja, krn tuk mencukupi kebutuan. Salam sehat selalu dan selalu sehat. Karena dg kondisi sehat banyak yg bisa kita lakukan.
First day I've watched this channel. It's fascinating. Have you ever tried using a metal detector to locate the penetrator head to locate large roots, squashed pipes, etc.? Might help you locate where to dig.
Great looking 👌 haircut Gavin, was that a Mrs. P special, or did you lose a fight with a whipper snipper?! 🤔😂 Great content today, love those ROOOOOTS! ❤️
Interesting how Australia connects downspouts to an underground pipe that directs water to the street. Here in the US, the downspout usually just dumps water onto the ground, or in some cases to an underground French drain. In either case, the water just soaks into the ground. Does Australia divert water to the street because of soil conditions?
Is there an Aussie law about drainage from a home? In the states, downspouts empty into the lawn, or on the driveway (which is usually paved) down to the street and then into the storm sewers. Why have all the extra expense of having dedicated drain pipes for rain water which is absolutely prone to break, clog and require constant maintenance?
champion of the rrrrots !!!!! 👍👍

It's good I don't live on the same continent because I'd be that lady following your truck around and setting up a lawn chair to watch. 😀

Good day Gavin!
As a Yank, I hear a line from my favorite baseball song, "So let's root, root, root for the home team ..." What a string of roots with a stubborn one at the end! Another entertaining vid.
Two minutes and 39 seconds into the video and I hear my favorite words "ROOTS" I know this will be a good one Gavin!
ROOOOOOOOOOTS ,ya gotta love the sound ,Gavin's got it down, Time for the old single barrel to drag out the rest ,dislodged pipes Roots will be back in no time if not dug up and repaired ,

Worthy of an award. Great job! NOTE: I actually like the tape on the hose...let's me see better if you are entering or exiting. Ride up!
He actually says right oh! It’s an Aussie saying 😅
One of mans greatest items...DuctTape!!!
Good content Gavin. The CCTV is really good at showing the client what the problems are, and the potential repairs.
Thank you 😊 and I agree
Maybe asked and answered before but what is that funny and nice tune called when you are driving? It cheers me up every time I hear it.
Looks another great one 👍
And nobody thought that roots would penetrate PVC when it was installed. Just like iron pipes will never rust through. Brilliance at it's finest.
Gavin, THE ROOT MASTER AT IT AGAIN!😊
g'day all the way from the uk gavin nice to see the video keeping me occupied catching on some ive missed with you & ollie im recupriating from a total knee replacement at present a bit to go yet gav ill re-watch a few older ones aswell thanks mate kelvin from the uk xx
All the best for the recovery
Hi gavin what have you done to your arm from paul chapman at London uk 🇬🇧I was watching your video cleaning the storm water
When I first started watching you more than two years ago, I used to wonder where the water went when it appeared to stop flowing out of the pipe. Then I realised that there were blockages in the pipe which you'd broken through which were preventing water from coming out immediately;.

So glad you got to the root of the problem, and the best part was the heap of roots exiting and your sheer delight 😊 I'll always root for you Gavin 😉
Do you happen to be a father? Those jokes makes me think so 🤣

The string of roots looked like a clothesline!
You do like to involve your viewers. I keep a towel handy when watching. I just move back when you clear a sewer.
I do!

Another vlog from you on this Saturday evening.
It remains exciting what you encounter with a blockage.
What a relief when the blockage is gone.
Glad you enjoyed it
Love roots and milk chocolate mud! ❤ Great video as always. Have a great weekend Gavin! Tell the ladies hello for me.
Thank you! Will do!
Excellent unblock Gavin, think with all the roots you cleared out it would be worth repairing the breaks in pipes👍
Absolutely
And glue them this time so it doesnt happen again

Thanks for the sub!
Awesome video, Gavin keep up with the lovely satisfying entertaining videos 💓💯💪😎🍀
Glad you enjoyed
Nice 😎✌🏻
No crew? Are they having a day off after getting fresh ink then, making you do all the work? Another great one!
A good pop up tent cover would be great for shade on hot days and rain diversion during rainy days. :-)
"Water feature". Good one! 😄
I still think you need to measure out some of these specimens and maybe do an annual "best of" video with the bigger ones.
"See ya when we get there" keep the music. Who would not get excited when we hear, "Roooots!"

We need a WoW button on here. Good job!
Gavin, please do a video on your arsenal of nozzles. Pros and Cons of each. What do they do and how do they do it.
I know that 7/11 on Bracken Ridge Rd, I get coffee there some mornings when I'm heading south.
Haha yep that is where I was
The water feature joke got me 😂
Smart haircut !😅
Great looking 👌 haircut Gavin, was that a Mrs. P special, or did you lose a fight with a whipper snipper?! 🤔😂 Great content today, love those ROOOOOTS! ❤️

Itd be great of you did like a miny suit up clip like your getting ready for war 😂
People use Schedule 40 pipes , it's worth it
Why do you make that twisting motion with the hose?
So he can clean more of the pipe … the nozzle will only cut the roots at the bottom !!!
Take the jetter in for a service, cheaper than buying a new one.
I would use “heat shrink” on the hose where it is frayed or ripped.
Great video! Sorry about your boo boo😞
Was hoping you did a drain repair or at least dug a hole at the squirting pipe. Either way fantastic as always.
When you are cleaning drains, what do you drink (water, Gatorade, etc..) ?
hi gavin you do good work man if it wasn't for you half of country would be stop up in their pipes to so be safe and careful out there to 👍👍
Un excelente trabajo.
Rooooots! ;)
I live in the USA...so these side drains are also connected to the gutters? I don't think we have that over here
You the man bro you the man
That was one very long root. With a heap of offshoots.
Howdy Mr P❤
Things you learn watching TH-cam, didn't know 7-Eleven is an international company.
Sometimes two In one suburb
Loads of roots how are they getting in the drain

Is that an injury on the right elbow or new tat? Roots and wipes and still a plumbers best friend and worst nightmare at the same time.
