You may not have wanted that version of Sabretooth, but a lot of us did. For those of us building out late 80's versions of the X-teams and their foes, this version was a welcome addition.
Thanks for the video Oldman Legends - your effort on it really shows. I loved Jigsaw's portrait; Rhino is a perfect example of how beneficial a Retro line can be for ML giving collectors a chance to obtain an updated older grail; Zemo's finer details are unappreciated; Dr. Strange was a 100% bullseye capturing the comic character perfectly; Maria-Quake I think might be the best sleeper of the ML line for 2022; Rictor was where Hasbro spent their money in that 3-pack; Knull was a great new character to get and a pleasant surprise; Cap's colors really make the figure standout on any shelf; "Renew Your Vows" is a new title for the best Spider-Man figure from ML; King Thor is one of my favorite products ML released this year.
I think that you've put together a well thought out list! Hobgoblin was a disappointment, but I do think that it is a somewhat salvageable figure. It's in no way as good as the first Hasbro Hoboblin. There's no question there, but I will say this about BOTH of Hasbro's Hobgoblin figures...they original head sculpts are done a disservice by the paint. When looking closely at the recent Hobgoblin figure's face, I noticed that the paint apps on his eyes didn't actually follow the sculpting very closely! For whatever reason, Hasbro chose to do those squinty little eyes in the paint, but the sculpt has the more orb-like eyes like those he had in the comics! ??? I've no idea why Hasbro chose to not follow the sculpt in the paint, but I think that the head paint really detracts from the look of BOTH figures a great deal. As a comic book artist, illustrator and (too often) an action figure customizer, I took it upon myself to repaint those darned Hobgoblin eyes! I wanted to follow the look of the comics, and more of what was sculpted. I thought I'd share my results with you here. I hope you'll agree that the paint on the eyes makes a world of difference! I think so, anyway. I get confused when people say Hard pass , hard to pass up or “ hard - with force “. I always say easy pass , ML ( my experience, my copy) always bad QC . Yo, Kate Bishops’ wig was glued to her right side and VHS Wolverine had bad face QC , I’m happy with Mafex always
Nice list. I actually really wanted that look for Sabertooth (I first encountered him in the spectacular Spider-Man books in the 80s) but I was so disappointed with that figure that I passed on him. I really wanted that BAF too but that wave was full of duds.
Dunno. Never really thought the comic or cartoon design was that cool either. Feels like a missed slot for a better spiderman character.... so many still not in Legends line yet. Sad.
Yea. I still have the old one. I think he just got discounted to 27... if he drops below 20 I may get him. Maybe use the old one for a custom Blastaar. 🤔
spider armor MK1 is alright to me , 20th CAP is very good but that shield tho

i can agree with the most. but Hulk is definetely one of the best action figures. the worst will come for Thor. Totally unnecessary action figure.
