Brain surgery at Dayton Children's - Amanda's story

Englewood dad, Paul Neef, knows first-hand how exceptional the care is at Dayton Children’s after his 10-year-old daughter, Amanda, suffered a stroke on the playground last September.
“I knew I could bring my son here when he broke his arm, but I never dreamed I would be back a few months later with my daughter to have emergency brain surgery. Even though what happened to Amanda was incredibly rare, her neurosurgeon was able to look me in the eye and say ‘I have operated on thousands of children’s brains’ and that’s when I knew Amanda was receiving world-class care.”

I had the same thing happen to me like your daughter did I had to have brain surgery the brain stem was pinched in the skull 💀 maybe it was there when I was born and im 68 it was long surgery 12 or 13 hour surgery I gave my own blood I wish I could Remer I was a grown-up I live in menomonie Wisconsin it was sacred heart hospital in eau Claire wis we both survived thanks to God and our parents and families I just wanted to share my story it is amazing

With me it started out like needles going up my arm and into my breast I was in surgery and they had to put a bone to brace the brace the brain up and they put a shunt to drain the fluid if I would of not had the surgery I would of died thanks for listening

Fix young lady the doctors did incredible work on her arm she is a beautiful angel God was watching over her she's your beautiful guardian angel thank you so much sharing this wonderful gift of angel of yours thank you God bless you God be with you God by shine upon you you have to know what your kids are asking for if they have a headache or something is wrong she's not doing it for attention series A life-or-death and to be safer sorry go to the emergency room I'm glad she's going to be okay the Lord is watching over her she's your beautiful angel thank you for sharing this beautiful picture of you and your family and your daughter God bless you God be with you.
