Remember when we had the red dye #2 scare and the red M&Ms went away? They weren't even using #2, but people freaked out. For a LONG time. It's good to have the red ones back.
I told my daughter when she was starting school, when asked what kind of job did her father have for a living? I told her to tell them that I was the person who, with a special paintbrush,, painted M&M on each one.

The sugar shell building is called wetting, each wetting process is completed by drying and then repeated till desired total weight desired of the M&M. They skipped the polishing process in its explanation.
Has m&ms changed? I gave some to my 3 year old and in a matter of 20 seconds his hands turned the color of them. I grew up with them and never remember that. The statement melts in your mouth not in your hands is no longer
Be cool if you could buy some with almonds inside or without a candy coating or one made of something totally natural with no artificial ingredients or questionable chemicals added for color / texture or flavor, just made of real foods and real plant compounds.
Why wouild you want rotten candy that tastes bad? Only kind of kidding. You CAN buy that kind of candy, but it's not mass produced, doesn't keep, and costs a LOT. I felt that way about soda coloring. One major company started selling their brands without the coloring and it was an instant failure. Tasted the same, just no coloring. Obviously it was discontinued quickly.
But they didn’t want their M&Ms used in a dumb sci-fi movie so Reeses Pieces got the product placement gig in ET. That film sold a lot of Resses Pieces. Whoever made that decision probably got transferred to the M&M plant in Siberia. Interesting video but stupid music.
It would be nice if they stopped using poisonous, unhealthy, or toxic artificial coloring chemicals and switch to something safer and all natural like European public food safety law requires of skittles now, even though the ones made with natural colors are less vibrantly colored.
Large companies like MARS spend a lot of money on lobbying congress and the senate, so the FDA's approval of these artificial colors seems highly suspicious given the conflict of interest given that many FDA official previously worked at MARS or other large candy alcohol and tobacco companies (known as industry insiders) and the FDA defends this saying they need experts from industry to help craft their regulations of hundreds of thousands of different chemicals. Furthermore, the use of artificial colors strictly regulated by international committees, governments and food safety laws, in terms of limiting the amount of artificial color applied, since there exits week evidence that the excess consumption of typical artificial color substances causes some health damaging effects, like smoking cigarettes.
Artificial colors make products attractive and have been used safely for many years. Switching to natural colors may increase costs without necessarily being more effective.
You need to double check your editing before release. For a while there about the midpoint you were so far out of sink to what was actually going on. It wasn’t even funny if people paid attention to what you said versus what was on the screen.
The candy coating doesn't help much with the,"melts in your mouth, not in your hands". Many years ago when I was a child it was pretty good with not melting. But now not so much....

Peanut Brand M&M is my favorite. Last time I bought M&M’s was about 10 years ago, I can’t afford an M&M on Disability pay.
