Everyone needs a Sarah Bonsignore in their lives. What an absolute legend.
I mean I don't know what I was expecting because Miles is a cool ass guy but Miles married it cool as lady and I'm fucking thrilled for the both of them and their child with how cool their parents are.
Ok, I kept thinking that Sarah and Miles looked like people I know IRL, but it's actually their vibe! They are totally variants of one of my favorite couple friends! My friends had kids in their 20s, but also didn't let becoming parents ruin their party vibe. They are both super organized in their own way, so when they would party, they would PARTY. But when it was time for family, they gave their kids 1000% of their effort. Now those kids are preteens and are some of the most fun, polite and well adjusted kids I have met.
I remember being in awe of my parents’ party friends who w still cherished their children. Even when I was really little, I knew that was something so cool
I wish I could be a fly on the wall in their house to learn how to be an awesome parent and still be able to party hard

@Muna M. Ahmed from the little I could observe it's just setting up a structure and sticking to it. They would have their weekdays very planned and reasonable expectations of the kids. They disciplined them instead of punishing them like a lot of people do nowadays. Also, when they would party, they would get a sitter, or we'd be at their house and be a bit mellow.
I feel like I would rebuttal back to the coworker lady from first question like "And every time I see you, you always have to comment about it" " I would appreciate it if you kept those thoughts and opinions to yourself, thanks" and if after it didn't stop go to HR
I would cartoonishly look around the room. When she aske what I was doing, I'd say "I'm trying to find who asked you"

One of my favourite party theme is a "Tacky party". Any outfit is either recycled from your own closet or bought second hand. It becomes a source of pride to tell people that your whole outfit only cost $5 🤣. I brought a hostess gift of 1 ply no name brand toilet paper, plastic popscicle molds from the dollar store and cheap no named brand apple juice to make popscicles with. The cheaper your hostess gift, the bettter.

I threw a party for my 23rd bday and knocked out the first couple hours and I woke up in a panic saying oh no I have to go back out there. Too much money on this party just to black out
The fact that I am 34, and I turned 33 during the tail end of the panorama makes me really sad I missed the idea to do a triple threat birthday. That idea, and Eugene, is genius.
I have a great friend group that when we see parties winding down we start cleaning up and it kind of makes people leave (😅) so that was also a hack like we need people to leave? Start cleaning up, they leave so fast 😂💀 but the real ones stay and help and clean up goes pretty quick!

I had a coworker that would tell me the ingredients in my food was bad for me. Like bitch, im a fat ass and wants to eat good food. At this point i dont care what chemicals are it it. IT TASTES GOOD. But shes 7 and on her 3rd marriage so i assume her life is miserable and wants to make everyone else miserable. But she loves god 😒 but if you have someone commenting on your food just respond with "why do you say that?" Or "what do you mean?". So that they can look at themselves and make them think about what they say.

Because this is the only thing I’ll be able to eat today” and mortify them. Or with full shade ask “what have you eaten today?” And if they are just being judgmental and condescending with their response , then respond with “oh well that sounds disgusting, but I’m glad you like it. “ 💃🏻

My parents were both 17 when I was born and at the time mom was the party queen. She and her best friend, my godmother, would wait till the weekend when my grandma went on her business trips and keep the money grandma gave her for the housekeeper, tell the house keeper they would skip that week and use it for snacks and booze. Then they would lock baby me and my godmothers tween sister in the master bedroom with all the snacks and water we could need for the night/weekend. n🤣🤣
