    Purchased these a year and a half ago and I do not foresee myself upgrading for audio reasons anytime soon. This is the most comfortable headset/headphone I have ever used and have not once had any complaint about the fit, feel, comfort, weight, or anything. Have worn them all day gaming on a sick day and never once experience ear soreness or any sort of fatigue. Mine did not have a velvet liner, just the pleather cups but they are so soft and have held up well over the course of my time with them. The audio quality is beautiful. The only thing I want to upgrade is the mic. I will one day get a boom mic and just not use the one on the headset itself. I would highly recommend these, especially if you can find them on sale.

    I bought these after seeing you having seen them at CES 2018. I live in Germany so I was able to pick them up in a Sennheiser store in January. Staff were very friendly and let me try them out and compare the GSP 600 with the other gaming headsets they had on display. I do not regret the purchase at all, would recommend them for sure.

    Sennheiser is easily one of the top tier brands when it comes to headphones as a whole. I'm so glad they made such a great gaming headset. Definitely going to invest into one of these in the future, probably; unless something better turns up before then.

    • @wilterjohn1627
      @wilterjohn1627 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Bruno Brunckhorst yeah. although they were louder, which is good, it sounds more nasal. plus a heavy headset would still put some strain on your neck/ears.

      Most wireless headsets that I have seen don't have microphones as good as wired

    • @SteveHonakerII
      @SteveHonakerII 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Agreed 300 sounds more hollow, the 600 sounds nasaly/ slightly tinny. The gaming one is not as loud but has a better balance and slightly higher bass, definitely more pleasant to listen to. Something else just occurred to me I wonder if he used the same speakers to listen to all of the mics or if he listened through the same headset that he recorded on. The difference in the speakers could have compensated for the difference in mics in hard to predict ways.

    I know from previous reviews, that You have the GSX-1000 from Sennheiser. Given that You state that it is a bit annoying that You can't hear your own voice, I was wondering why You hadn't tested the GSP-600 on the GSX-1000!?
    Anyways... I think I'll make do with my 350 SE's and G1's for now.

    just bought both the Sennheiser GSP 600 and the Sennheiser GSX 1000, based on your reviews . and Damn these sound great... i had the game zero before, but i thought that the base was kind of low, but with the gsp600 the base is spot on ( set to music mode on the gsx 1000).... love this setup.. rather expensive for both the gsp 600 and the gsx 1000, but really think it is worth the money... Nice review and I almost agree 100% with your review. I just got mine yesterday so I haven’t had much time to test it out but I did play a little Division on the PC with it. First, the quality is just what he said. Although I hope I don’t drop it and drag it with my chair. It’s also heavy and I do miss the notches on the band to make each side even. Ear cups are amazing even while wearing glasses. I find that these are more comfortable than my other Sennheisers but every head is different so that’s to be expected. I do feel like I am eating the mic because it’s shorter than most mics. Lastly, I have them running on my Sennheiser GSX 1000 amp and it’s a great set up to have. Later.

    I been rocking these since Europe release and they have been awesome ever since.......but my one small tiny issues is why doesn't the integrated volume control have a indicator like a little line to showcase where the volume is set at.
    Game One and Zero have a little circle on the volume wheel showing where the volume is left at but GSP 300 and 600 don't :P

    This are by far the most UNCOMFORTABLE headset I've worn. I disagree with every point you make about the comfort. The design causes it to only sit on the very top of your head in the center where the padding is at it's least. That is a lot of weight for one point and begins to actually hurt after a good few hours. Also they do pinch from clamping force (Sliders don't do anything to help) but can be stretched out. Also the sound is nice and boomy but the imaging is no good. By the Game Zeroes or the HyperX cloud 2/core. The nice things about this are the mic function and the cusions are nice, but I think they cause it to have high bass which doesn't help with hearing footsteps.

      gsp 600 has lots of highs and almost no bass due to the fact footsteps in gaming are in highs. Basically , this headset has innate the ability of soundblaster g6 scout mode which does exactly that. Do you think your audiophile headphone can compete that? I think not.

I've been looking forward to sennheiser topping this headset as it seemed perfect to me and I didnt know what they would do to top it. I dont mind the design but I dont think it's worth the upgrade as I too like open style headsets and in the mix test I prefered the Game One.

If u have great soundcard or good dac/amp of course this will be much better ( HyperX C II is on USB / Senn is on 3.5 jack ), but is it worth 150$ more? If u have money probably yes, but if u don't want spend more money or you don't play games like CS:GO on high level then go with HyperX C II.

    • @GFunkEra1992
      @GFunkEra1992 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hyper X cloud 2 handsdown , even if you don't want to use the usb if for ex you have a good soundcard you can always buy a audio adapter ' 1 x stero jack female > 2 x Stero jack male ' and it will cost you between 5 -10$ on amazon. The hyper X cloud 2 has proven to be one of the best qulity/price headset on the market and it's pretty sturdy with a good quality sound, the only bad thing on this is that the cable is not detachable and is not very long. 250$ for a headset is a bit overpricy in my opinion but if you have the money wait for a couple of unsponsered reviews by people who actually bought this product with their own money. good luck in your research

    My new GSP600 arrived yesterday. I got to use them for a couple hours right after work playing Overwatch on my high end gaming PC. I am super happy with them! They sound amazing. I was able to notice some subtle strings in one of the music tracks during one of the waiting screens. NICE!
    It fits my big head. They feel very study.
    Previously I had been using either my Senheiser HDPRO 280, or Sony Gold Headset (PS4) on my PC for gaming. With the 280's, I either would not use voice chat, or I would dangle another USB headset with mic unit around my neck.
    Last month I did get the Game Zero, and used it for maybe a hour. Those sounded very good too. But felt a lot less sturdy than the 280, or the GSP 600. I returned them and pre ordered the GSP600 for the stats on paper are a little better. Are my ears able to really hear the difference between the two? Good question. :)

There website makes it easy to tinker with your choices to see what works together and what it would cost. I got my monitor from Newegg. Later I added another SSD and upgraded the video card from elsewhere on the internet. I'm happy with them and plan to buy my next gaming rig from them at some point in the future. Matteo Kropej how can you recommend the gsx 1200 over the gsx 1000. It costs more but is directly advertised and made for pro player use or lan use. When many of them can be connected together for communication reasons. There is no point at all at buying it over the regular gsx 1000 since most people will use it solo and not with their friends and do not play in the pro league it would be a waste even.
      You also recommend the HD800 wich you might be joking since the hd800 has an impedens of 300 ohm and the gsx gaming amp/DAC has a max ohm support of 150 ohm and the lowest of 35 ohm. But they tried with 15 ohm headphones and It works perfectly with that also so they might have changed the description.
      And the hd800 solo beats these headphones + gsx easily since the hd800 positioning and Soundstage is vastly superior the closed back gsp 600.
      If you want real audiophile Quality with gaming features then you can buy the AKG7XX + modmic + gsx 1000. Wich is cheaper and better. And a better match with the AKG7XX impedens of 62 ohms.
      And yes I am extremely fun at parties.

    Thank you for the review, Dimitri. I agree with you if we (the gamer) can't hear our self-talking to the other side. Even though it is tempting to get this headset, I think I would prefer to get the open back version of this instead, only if it matches or improved version in the future, and last but not least, of course, I would be waiting for you to review it as well. (Fingers cross, hopefully, no negative feedback or build on the future version, still your honest review would be appreciated, Dimitri).

      @Philitron128 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      welRUS334 Adding a ModMic to any pair of headphones you already have is by far the best you can do. It's not difficult at all and you can just pop the mic off if you want to listen to music.

    • @Vostochny45
      @Vostochny45 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      WelRUS334 I'd say convenience is having very rich relatives for example :) and I agree with Philitron128's answer ...modular approach is better. The product is overpriced and you are paying extra for the brand.

    • @Philitron128
      @Philitron128 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Anthony C "good" headphones are subjective. You can buy an awesome pair for $100 or even less on sale. As for the ModMic wtf? There a choice of length and a sleeve that comes with it, there nothing awkward about that.

    Personally I'm waiting for the GSP 500 that you teased us at CES.
    I also wanted to say that I think everybody forget that the Game One and Game Zero MSRP was at 250$ too, and now the current price on Amazon is at ~160$ so just wait that the price decrease before saying that 250$ is more than the Game One and Game Zero price because it's a RELEASE price.

    One thing I’ve never liked about the game one series is the bass is much lower than my astro 400 & 500. Even worse is the sennheiser left headphone blew after a few months and wasn’t covered by warranty because it was considered “wear and tear”.
