2024, I still come back to this absolute gem of a song. I remember picking up this album the day it came out. This song has and always will have a special place in my heart. A band that should of had so much more.
Odd case of a band that got a ton of radio play but was pretty much completely forgotten just a few years later. Hurt was a much higher quality Alt Metal band as well, making it even dumber. Overshadowed by countless crap in mainstream rock over the last decade. Vol 1 and 2 are both excellent, especially 2. This is one of my favorites they recorded.
Agree, short lives but great songs, thank God for TH-cam. I liked The Four Horsemen Rockin is my business. And so many others. Great LA to Vegas driving music! Turn it up.
I went to high school in 2007 as a freshman/sophomore and am stunned that I never once heard of this band until nearly turning 30. It sounds so much like the late 2000s. If I'd discovered it back then it would be a nearly 15 year favorite of mine but I'm happy to have found it in 2021
I truly wish this band would create another album. They are one of the best hard rock bands that are sooooo underrated for the fact of commercialism. Please create another album!
It's not that the radio can't handle their style of truth, it's that the majority prefers different music. We're the minority and this won't be mainstream until their style changes. Fact of life.
It's just that mainstream is into the main bands like FFDP, BMTH, among the many oh and let's not forget the sellouts like Metallica and too much Nirvana and the like. I'd like to hear more newer bands like Hurt and the such.
Will forever be my favorite band. They seemed to always play the soundtrack to my life. And 20 years later, here I am again. Pissed off, heartbroken and jamming.
Damn I love this effin band!! Feel in LOVE when I heard "Alone with the Sea" at Phoenix hill in Louisville! ..side note the lead singer is super uber 🔥..playing that violin w those eyes..they saw right into my very SOUL! So much talent and energy. ROCK ON 🎸
Been listening to you guys since the beginning and have had a huge impact on my life, especially with the loss of my best friend and Vol 2 really saved my life. I'm so you've had to endure so much "Hurt" but I hope y'all keep making music. Your fans love you!!!!!!
People have the wrong idea about musicians they think we all make a shit ton of money that is not true.... It was an honor sharing the stage with hurt definitely one of the best shows I ever performed
I'm here to start a campaign for HURT to make a big return and be bigger and better than ever. Always loved this band and HURT clearly didn't get the credit they deserve.
I'm seeing comments complaining about how this band isn't very well known. If you see it as such a big deal, share it. Post on Facebook, show friends, actually BUY the songs. Suggest some of HURT's songs to radio stations.
HURT! You are the single most important band my feeble eardrums have had the the pleasure of being ruptured to. Hope you see this somehow since your pages comments are turned off. Bash the enemies, keep making melodies
Still here, this song is like sitting in a shell for so long, when you finally pick yourself back up and shake off the rust and dust and find out who you truly are, no longer letting people get under your skin, but being able to see through them, and being stronger than them.
A guy that used to work matinence at my church always wore a Hurt T-shirt when I was in middle school/early hs. Let's just say, I regret not checking these guys out earlier.
Saw these guys at a concert maybe 10-12 years ago. I can't remember. They weren't even on the list of names. It was Seether and maybe Breaking Benjamin or something like that, and some other band lol. Three Days Grace, I believe. These guys came out last and one guy had a fucking violin, the singer, maybe.. And I was hooked. One of my top favorite bands ever. They were the best of the bunch. I went to that concert for Seether and left loving Hurt.
I saw them way before that when they were an opener for Army of Anyone. Army of Anyone was the headlinder and the openers were in order, Neurosonic, Dropping Daylight, Hurt, then Army of Anyone. The raw emotion of the lead singer floored the fuck outta me.
Published on youtube after it's heyday. No one plays this song on the radio anymore. For about 3 years it was played a lot on my local station. Octane of course doesn't play it much. They never reached the big band status like Staind etc.
Honestly a good question, outside of if the song is good or not (I think it's pretty good, definitely better than most post grunge fare). This song and the album it was on won Canadian music awards, yet the band fell into obscurity
Discovered them way back in 2003 with their album The Consummation. Have Loved this band for many, many years, their music never get's old. Ten Ton Brick is a good anger management song to rage with while played really loud. It's one of my go to songs on a Friday night. :)
@@jessblackwolf5333 several years now..Rec is from my hometown area so I still hear about him..but all the members were bad ass .. J.Lorean the singer is a very intelligent man..and funny as hell too..he blew my mind..it was definitely a experience of a lifetime
Saw this band as an opening act for who, I don't even remember because they blew me away that I can't even remember. I just remember it was the early '00 and I think it was maybe Three Days Grace or Seether, which says a ton cause I LOVE Seether. I cannot understand why bands like Hurt and Blue October are not 2 of the biggest band ever.
I absolutely love these guys. Such variety from one band. He sings with passion and its not sell out, just to make money kinda music. Its soulful. My favorite by him is wars. Love the vid too. I first heard of Hurt on spotify a few months ago. If you dont have spotify its an app for android. Pretty good, I recommend it. It allows you to listen to bands you never heard of along with the greats. For instance, search for chevelle, and spotify gives a a list of similar bands. Im not promoting spotify, nor am I getting paid to mention them. Just letting everybody know thats how I found hurt. Other cool bands I recommend too....the veer union, adema, and chevelle. I hope hurt gets more sponsorship and grows bigger. Id like to see more from them.
Almost completely forgot about this song and then the other day, it just randomly popped into my head... I tend to reconnect with a lot of music that way lol
I am compelled to agree with the other comments that the band is painfully underrated and shows that the music industry isn’t about quality art and expression.
Loved HURT since first seeing them at a concert that a local radio station put together of a handful of great bands a few years ago, here in S.L.C.! \m/ \m/
My band CENTER is opening for these guys May 30th at The Chameleon Club!! Never heard them until now? IT IS GOING TO BE A KICK ASS SHOW SO COME OUT IF YOU CAN!!!!!!!
2024, I still come back to this absolute gem of a song. I remember picking up this album the day it came out. This song has and always will have a special place in my heart. A band that should of had so much more.
Crazy, same here!
Me three! They've been a favorite of mine for years.👌💯
Me four
2024 checking in and I'm still to blaameee!!!!
2024 and I just found this song. Hits like it was made yesterday.

This was a great band... Wish they'd have gone further.
Great band and great music, faded away too early but that's the corporate music industry for you!
HURT is one of the best bands I have ever listened to, all musical geniuses, and not a soul knows who they are...
I can't pick a definitive favorite artist, so it's a tie between Hurt and Nine Inch Nails and Stabbing Westward.
I'm here because a drunk guy recommended me this band, the guy clearly has good taste.
I wonder if you and I met...
I'm a drunk guy who recommends this. If you like this, listen to Thank You For Listening.
I think they usually do.
@@Mark-ib6jn very cool
This is the band I recommend when I meet anyone
HURT fans don't go to shows to mosh or crowd surf. We go to enjoy the hard work these amazing individuals put into their art.
The most underrated band ever!!!
I truly wish this band would create another album. They are one of the best hard rock bands that are sooooo underrated for the fact of commercialism. Please create another album!
Moments in life always bring me back to this.
That fn voice Man !!! Gets me going everytime , one of the very BEST bands ever❤
Hurt is such a dope ass band , man wish they would drop more music
The drums are killer ,This band is so underrated and radio can't handle their style of truth. HURT get back on track and cut another album.
Amen!
It's not that the radio can't handle their style of truth, it's that the majority prefers different music.
We're the minority and this won't be mainstream until their style changes. Fact of life.
locally this band got a lot of airtime when this song came out

Ronnie Leo their from Virginia. Amazing band.
Holy crap, why aren't these guys more popular?!?! I first heard them through my Godsmack pandora station and now I'm in love with these guys!
One of the best bands I have ever seen and I have seen hundreds!!! They were absolutely AMAZING!!!!
One of the best underrated hard Rock bands. I hope you guys can cut one more record and tour!
I been in love with this band for more than 15yrs. They don't get the credit they deserve.
Have you ever thought of dating a Green Beret?
Will forever be my favorite band. They seemed to always play the soundtrack to my life. And 20 years later, here I am again. Pissed off, heartbroken and jamming.

I'm glad I got to see this band multiple times. Wish this band would have stood the test of time

I saw them in Madison at Band Camp with a similar lineup. Killer.
this is the first time i have heard this band and i like. I've heard a lot of bands in 48 years. they are unique and very good.
How does this only have a quarter million views
Sxnery- my thoughts exactly.
