Multiple mods being bundled in alongside your mod of choice without proper notice or choice is problematic but id personally have an issue with the mod dev that packaged the mod like this not Essential directly given that it was the mod dev that chose to add it as a dependency without fully informing you of this. The currency and the unencrypted chats are a weak reasoning to avoid Essential, given at the fact you can fully omit using these features, especially when you already have multiple chat services like Discord to use (which they aren't that much better tbh), it isn't really smart to allow yourself to fully trust a chat system that's in a Minecraft mod like come on guys have some common sense, you don't even need all these effects and cosmetics, they aren't universal outside of the mod so it'll be practically useless beyond that and don't forget they aren't the only ones with shady currency pricing, and while yes, it is shady and extremely manipulative for Essential to do with the currency, at the end of the day, these in game currency decisions fall solely on the players responsibility. So while all this is something to keep in mind of, its not worth having to remove it altogether.
