I really understand the sentimental value he has for obey and his songs. If it were to be me, i would have sung more sef....so I feel you.
But beyond that, it is Baba's voice people want to hear, with all due respect, not yours, not mine😂

Mr Asabe, please can you kindly reduce your interruption and interjections? Also, please let the singer sing. You always bring great people, but you interrupt a lot, and you bring your own emotions into the interview and try to put words into your guests mouth or try to help them complete their thoughts, which in most cases is not what your guest want to say. I'm not trying to teach you your profession, but please consider my observation on these habits as a friendly piece of advice.

Asaba, I love your work BUT you interject/interrupt your guests too much. Haa, Baba Ebenezer Obey ws singing kilolefa lalakokofefe and you were singing it ahead of him, even making mistakes and confusing the old man on his own music. You get to reduce that or allow active listening as necessary

What makes people rich is how they spend their own money. Obey’s duty is not to make everyone rich. No matter what you pay some people, they will remain people because they are not prudent. Blaming a leader is unfair

The lifestyles of some people, will make them to be poor, and remain in poverty. They're so reckless with life, engaging in hard drug uses, and philandering.

You just talk. In the 70s most of the band boys were in money going to beer parlour chasing women to folk buying expensive things. These band lenders makes connections and network and they introduce them into businesses. These band members are better than average worker. One need to save or invest and not claiming entitlements that is not in existence. Olofo to bi nu ologo

Now that he is a pastor now did not take away his behaviour in the past. He has repented, God has forgiven. If he has estates as we speak, and he thinks he owed the band boys, he should be looking after them

I respectfully disagree with you Sir,Nigeria as a country is a terrible and very difficult place to live, why are people still living there till now,so simple,it is just because they are hopeful that one day things will b e better. There is one song that you sang some years back,Nigeria yi si ma dun o dami loju, lola Oluwa aadun aadun aadun, has Nigeria been better,of course not.I do understand your stand point,as an elderly person you will not want to say anything that will make you sound as if you are going against Wasiu Ishola especialy in a country like Nigeria where people hates the truth and very quickly turn somebody that is popular to a thing god and untouchable, but honestly Sir you are not helping him, that is just my sincere opinion. It is called being hopeful Sir,you once sang a song like that,Aforiti lolohun gbogbo, aforiti lolohun gbogbo, tepa mose ore mi,Oluwa lolakojo, tepamose oremi,Oluwa lolakojo, aforiti lolohun gbogbo.I just hope that you have not forgotten so soon that you sang this song.I am in my sixties and I grew up with your song, all my life I have never had any cause to object to what you say,but on this issue of Wasiu Ishola,it is so very disappointing, people have eyes and they can really see. Finally, somebody said something that I really hold on to strongly,he said that these band leaders don't do right by the band members, also on the part of the band members they can never be satisfied. It is so simple.it is a law of give and take.Chief commander Ebenezer Obey Sir,like you said, someone goes to work today and he is not paid like the music band leaders in Nigeria does to their band members and such person because of that decides not to go to work the following day, where is the Aforiti that you sang about, you are an elderly person and also an evangelist, things you say matters a lot Sir.

The only area where I think I have questions for the Chief Commander and which i will like him to address is the one concerning his former master Fatai Rolling Doller why did the Chief Commander refused to assist him financially when he was suffering in silence in Lagos? Though God later bless Fatai Rolling Doller to the surprised of everyone and even Obey himself i believe.

Asabe, commander corroborate what the guy said. Tao said chief gave the money to him because of his hardworking and never used the word bribe. It was Baba the misappropriated the word Hardworking for a bribe. Tao had done nothing wrong he just wanted chief to extend the incentives to other members of the band.

Baba obey's testament has not exonerated him from other band leaders who has not been fair with their band boys.
