I went through the process 2 1/2 years ago and made it to the final step. Took 9 months and was grueling. In retrospect, glad it didn't happen, but would have been successful if I made it. Was a great experience and proud to say made it to the final 375 of over 85k applicants

Ryan Zink is 100% dead on. Knowing two high-end Chick-fil-A owners very well, Ryan's words are perfect.

I worked for A&W and Tim Hortons' fro 6 mos. at each. I just got sacked after a day and half from Tim's, Now hating fast food and lost all desire to ever go back. They should give you the material to study for a week, memorize it and then put you on the line.

Used to work in a store owned by an operator with three stores, and currently work in one with two. Three stores is far too much for an operator, your attention is just far too divided. It’s extremely wise for them to discourage this.

Interesting! We have two in pretty close proximity and one is great, food is never different and service is great and fast, friendly. Then the one not too far in the burbs is the exact opposite. The suburban one really sucks

One thing you got way wrong...the franchisee owns nothing. They are operators. The company owns the equipment and property. Please stop using the term owner.

You might think of good food when you think of Chick-fil-A, but for me I think of anti-gay sentimentality since the founder of the company was known to donate to anti-gay organizations. There is evidence of this online. A couple years ago, I was completing an application for employment at a local Chick-fil-A and when I read the Equal Opportunity disclaimer statement, it said how they don't discriminate against the usual things like race, religion, etc., but sexual orientation was not included. Needless to say, I did not finish the application. I refuse to support that company.

I would prefer it if they left religion out of it and let owners open on Sunday if they want! I'm atheist/commie, Sunday just another day for me. I've never seen one in Canada.
